Jay's POV:

I really shouldn't have gone to sleep that late last night. I clutched my head, trying to relieve the headache pounding my skull. Reading 'till 2:00 last night was an ill-advised move on my part.

Groaning, I pour myself another mug of tea. Mango tea is my favorite. The fruity taste always warmed me up on the insides. I finished my muffin, setting my dishes in the sink. The plate clinked lightly when hitting the metal grates above the sink basin. I pumped a little bit of soap onto the dishes, sudsing it up. I decided I would let it sit there for the rest of the day, breaking down the oily residue left by the food.

Standing up, I grabbed my helmet, wallet, sunglasses, and other assorted items to go along with me. I threw the stuff into a backpack and strapped on the helmet, along with the sunglasses. Opening the door, the misty/salty ocean air flew loose strands of hair out of my bun, much to my annoyance.

"Alrightly, Excal, let's get to the hangar." Snapping the kickstand back in the heel of my shoe, I speed down the sea-side road.

-(timeskip)-

"Identification, please." The guard at the gate walked up to me, hand held out. I stuck my ID out.

"Lieutenant Katz, callsign 'Revon', Navy SEALs." I informed the guard. He raised an eyebrow, nodded.

"Ah. Viper mentioned something about a 'Revon'. Welcome to Topgun." He waved me through.

Reving the bike, I passed the gate and neared the cluster of hangars dotting the flat landscape. I spotted Viper's car. I had to speak with him anyways, so I pulled into a space close to his. Dismounting, I left my helmet on my bike and slipped into the building. I had been to Topgun before and worked with Viper in the past, so I knew where to find his office. I knocked on the door to his office. I could see the Commander with Jester in there. Viper looked up.

"Come in." I inhaled, opened the door, and saluted to Viper.

"Commander."

"Ah, Lieutenant Katz! I thought you were scheduled to fly in next week." The man grinned, rising from his chair to shake my hand. His grip was firm and warm. "Lieutenant, this is Jester, one of the instructors here at Topgun. Jester, this is Lieutenant Jay Katz, callsign Revon. She is here for diagnostics on the students and selecting a pair to work with her SEAL squad."

I nodded to the instructor, and Jester returned the jesture. I turned back to Viper.

"I flew in early, sir. When I heard my brother was coming here, I changed my flight to arrive early." I chuckled. "The flight from Pearl Harbor was a long one, but not the longest I've had."

"Well, I hope jet lag didn't hit you so hard. Anyways, what brings you here today?"

"Fox and the other aviators invited me over to base to show me around."

"Do they know you've been here plenty of times before?"

"No. They don't even believe I'm a Navy SEAL."

Jester cleared his throat. "I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful in any way, Revon, but I don't think a lot of people think women should be in the military. That public opinion was swayed many women from enlisting, but there are plenty still here. Unfortunately, though, few get heavy-action jobs like you."

"No offense taken, Jester. What you said is completely true." I responded. Viper nodded.

"Either way, you are here, Jay, and you're kicking ass. Keep at it. But, before you go..." Viper handed me a small packet.

"This is all the information you will need so far regarding the pilots' preformances since enlistment. There is also a little gift for you, since I know you like collecting patches."

I opened the packet, slipping a hand inside, and pulling out a Topgun patch. I grinned at him.

"Thank you, sir. I'll add it to my jacket." I refered to the old SEAL jacket I had sewn patches on. "It'll go right next to my RIMPAC patches. Sir." I saluted the two men, before exitting office. I walked outside, tucking the packet my bag. I strolled to Hangar 6, the hangar that Fox had told me to go to. What a sight I walked in on.

3rd Person POV:

Jay stopped in her tracks when she saw the aviators. All of them were shirtless, panting heavily and cheering Maverick and Iceman on. They were all heavily toned, and Jay barely fought down a blush. They shouted;

"Go get him, Ice!"

"Knock him out, Mav!"

"Show Mav you're the best at hand-to-hand, Ice!"

"Show em' who's boss, Maverick!"

The cheering drowned out the two grappling men's explicits and grunts. Ice momentarily had Maverick in a headlock, but the dark-haired man slipped out of the grip before the blonde could tighten his arm. The two continued at it before Ice sweeped his leg under Maverick, the man toppling down. Ice struggled to hold Maverick, who was thrashing, down.

"1...2...3...4...5! Iceman wins!" Hollywood triumphantly jeered. Wolfman groaned, handing a 10 to Hollywood. The aviator grinned smugly, plucking the bill from the dissapointed man. Slider cheered, helping Iceman up, who was thrown off by Maverick. Goose struggled to rip Maverick back from launching at the pilot.

"You dumbasses done yet?"

The men turned around to see Jay leaning against a crate. Fox jumped up, running to her.

"Heyyy, sis! You're finally here!"

"I was busy with Viper." When they all gawked at her, she rolled her eyes. "I was collecting some stuff he had for me. You know, I don't live under a rock. I know who Viper is."

"Yeah, but we wouldn't know he would have stuff for you." Wolfman countered, knowing it was a weak argument. Jay desided not to answer.

"Well, what were you up too?"

"Warming up." Goose offered.

"Mmhm. More like brawling."

"It all started with Iceman. He made a comment and Mav flipped out." Blitz called from the other side of the hangar. He was filling his water bottle.

"Alright, understandable." She rolled her eyes once again. "Well, whose up first? I want to see what being in a plane does to you hand-to-hand combat skills." Jay smirked. She knew that challenge would work them up. She quickly added, "I don't want Mav or Ice to face me yet. They just fought, and I want it to be an easy fight."

Slider smirked dangerously. He wanted payback from the night at the club.

"You're on."
