7- Punishment

Yeonjun was standing with his arms crossed. He was super furious. The bullies were claiming that what Beomgyu said was wrong and that he didn't touch Beomgyu. "You do know that your facade will be busted once headmaster Hayze finds out right? What do you think will happen? You could be arrested and imprisoned." Yeonjun said pretending to think. The punishment in the magical realm was severe as the magical realm was said to be pure and untainted and this kind of deed can get a person imprisoned for years or maybe even for a lifetime. The bullies widened their eyes. "Please no! We agree that we touched him. We promise to never do that again." Yeonjun scoffed, not changing his mind. Beomgyu had suffered a lot and he wanted to do some justice to him. "What about you? You bullied him too! That's why we played along! You were the one who planned on bullying the newcomer. Now your blaming us for everything?!" One of the bullies shouted. "I- um...Look, yes I bullied him but I did not want to go this far and I never planned to. I just made fun of him which...I know is wrong and I'll gladly accept any punishment the headmaster gives me." With that Yeonjun dragged the bullies to the principal.

They reached Hayze's office and Yeonjun slightly knocked the door. He didn't wait for a response and directly walked in. Surprisingly Beomgyu was in there too. "Yeonjun? Why are you here?" Hayze asked Yeonjun. "It's about Beomgyu." he said. "Go on." Yeonjun told Hayze about the incident. The bullies were glaring at Beomgyu. The look on their face made Beomgyu shiver a little. Yeonjun saw this and smacked their heads, making them gasp and wince. "Beomgyu is that true?" Hayze questioned Beomgyu with a serious look on his face. He so was furious that you could literally see hot steam coming out of his ears. Beomgyu looked at the bullies who gave him a look which meant 'Do not tell them'. Beomgyu hesitated a bit. "Look at me, my child. Tell me the truth. They won't be able to hurt you anymore." Beomgyu still hesitated but slowly nodded. "Y-yes they did that...." His voice slowly drifted off. He was feeling embarrassed and dirty. He was fiddling with his hands, his head hug low the entire time. His eyes were glassy and he kept biting his lips to prevent the tears from falling. "Beomgyu there's nothing to be embarassed about. It isn't your fault." Yeonjun tried reassuring Beomgyu to which Beomgyu slightly nodded. "Also grandfa- I mean principal Hayze, I will accept the punishment as well. I had bullied him too. Yeonjun looked down with guilt.

Hayze thought for a while. "Beomgyu, why don't you decide on the punishment?" Beomgyu widened his eyes. "Me?" "Yes you. You're the victim of this case. I think you should be the one to decide on the punishment." Beomgyu looked at them. Getting bullied and abused wasn't new for him. But they had touched him inappropriately. He sighed and smiled. "I do not wish to get them punished. "Yeonjun and Hayze were shocked. "What? Are you sure?" Hayze asked in disbelief. "Yes I am. Many adolescents make this mistake and regret it later on. They can be imprisoned for years and this will affect their future lives and carriers. Just because of an immature mistake at an immature age, they might have to sacrifice the rest of their lives. And... everyone deserves a second chance." Beomgyu smiled. This boy was so pure and kind, he did not deserve all those mistreatment. Hayze smiled at him fondly. "Do you get it now? He is willing to forgive you. Don't ever dare to hurt innocent people again." The bullies were regretting their mistake. One of them spoke, "Beomgyu we are so sorry. I know we crossed the line. I-I just thought you were cute and-" Yeonjun cut him off by smacking his head. "Bro, are you serious?" He asked them in disbelief. "I am sorry." He said with his head hug low.

The bullies had left. Yeonjun thanked Beomgyu to which Beomgyu just nodded and told him that it's fine. Beomgyu bowed to the principal and was about to leave when Hayze stopped him. "Wait, Beomgyu." Beomgyu turned around and walked back to the principal. "Yes? Is there something you need?" He asked confused. Hayze looked at Yeonjun. "Yeonjun did you tell Beomgyu about his true identity?" Yeonjun shook his head indicating that he hadn't told him anything. "About my true identity?" "Yes, Beomgyu. You're a very special person. You have the power to control all seven realms." Beomgyu widened his eyes. "Power? Seven realms? I- don't understand." With that, the bell rang which meant that their first period will be starting soon. Hayze smiled and told him he'll explain it some other time. Beomgyu just nodded and exited the office. "Yeonjun keep a close eye on him. He doesn't know anything about the magical world and he might need help with fitting in here." Yeonjun just nodded and left the office as well.
