Eddie and I finished eating. He had gotten up to throw away the wrappers and boxes. I sat at the table happily, sipping on the rest of my shake as I watched him being domestic. He smirked at me when he noticed me watching him.
"So, Melody?" He asked as he came back to the table, standing a little away from me.
"Yeah?" I asked back, wondering what he wanted to say.
"I know you said you used to, but, do you still smoke?" he questioned, eyebrow raised a bit.
"Not recently. Are you asking me if I want to ?" I raised a brow back at him. I've been wanting to smoke ever since I got to this hell hole of a town. I know Robin and Nancy told me Eddie deals, but I haven't had the guts to ask him to sell me anything. What would he have thought about Steve Harrington's cousin being a stoner?
"Yeah? I mean, if you want to." I could see his eyes light up, hoping I would partake.
"Yeah, I'll smoke with you, Eddie." I stood up beside him with a little wink. Why the hell did I wink at him?
"Great! Come on." He grabbed my hand and gently pulled me behind him to his messy bedroom. He shoved some clothes and things off of his bed, giving me a place to sit as he dug around for his weed and a lighter. I caught a glimpse of a few things in his room. Mainly the cuffs hanging from the wall, the condoms on his table, and his guitar hanging over his mirror.
"Eddie?" I asked as I looked around some more.
"Yeah?" He asked nervously as he watched me scan his room, realizing the things he had out in the open. He scurried around in an attempt to hide the unmentionables.
"I like your guitar." I said as I bit my lip a little, really wanting to touch it. I want to play it so bad. I think he noticed the way I was looking at the instrument because he pulled it down and handed it to me.
"I don't normally let anyone touch her, but I saw yours. I know you'll treat her right." He said as he started hooking it up to the amp in his room. "I know you want to play her, don't cha?"
I nodded frantically as I watched him hooking everything up for me. I put the strap over my head and adjusted it. He handed me a spare pick and gave me a grin.
"You're really gonna let me?" I asked, genuinely surprised. I would never let anyone touch mine, I didn't expect him to even let me hold his, let alone let me play her.
"Of course, princess." There it was, another word that can make my heart skip a beat.
I smiled at him as I started to strum his guitar, holding it firmly yet gently in my hands. I played him one of my own original songs that I wrote a long time ago. Before I knew what I was doing, I started singing, cought up in my own little world, forgetting he was even there. After the several minute metal ballad I just played, I let the guitar hang over my shoulder as I looked up. I noticed Eddie was now sitting on his bed, looking star struck. His eyes opened wide, and his jaw was practically on the floor.
"Eddie? Are you okay?" I asked him as I pulled the strap back over my head and laid the guitar on the bed next to him.
"I would have never in a million lifetimes thought that I would ever hear something so beautiful." He stood up and stared at me in awe, taking my hand in his. "That was -" He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts.
"Thanks." I said as I blushed a little, realizing that I had just given him his own personal concert.
He sat back down on the edge of his bed and patted the spot next to him as he moved the guitar to a safer position elsewhere. I took my seat beside him, and he placed a blunt between my lips, raising the lighter in front of it. I inhaled as he lit it for me, gazing into his eyes. I feel so much more relaxed around him now than I did before. There's something about him that makes me feel comfortable and safe.
