Chapter 5

Li Qian hugs Yezhun in the kitchen on that evening after she backed from the work. Yezhun didn't have a work shift today. So he just staying at home through the day with covering his sleeping. And on that evening he decided to bake the strawberry pies to his family members.

''I am glad you are back home today, gege. I thought you will stay at your apartment during your off duty today,'' Li Qian whined.

''Oh, my sweet meimei is sulking over me. Of course I am back here today, sweetie when our mom asked me to bake her strawberry pies. You know our mom can't see me free. She must always have plan for me to work. If not for your jiejie, then it must be for her herself,'' Yezhun whined back and Li Qian laughs before she pecks a lovely kiss on the cheek of Yezhun made Yezhun smiles happily.

''Gege, mom just misses your pies. You know you are rarely to have off duty and staying here. So, it's not wrong to let her son to bake her favourite pies when her both daughters can't do that, right?'' Li Qian said.

Yezhun giggles.

''My bad to have two girl siblings but can't bake a type of pie in their lifes. You should learn how to bake too, meimei. What if you are married to a guy who like the pies the most?'' Yezhun advised.

''Hurm... Well, maybe I will ask you to bake for me,'' Li Qian grinned and Yezhun just lovely knocks the forehead of Li Qian.

''Naughty! You are same as mom to not let me to be freed,'' Yezhun softly scolded and Li Qian just laughs for that scold.

Li Qian moves to the island table in that kitchen and she just observing on her brother to bake the pies. As Yezhun put the next pies into the oven, he turns to face Li Qian that spacing out at that island table. He tried to call Li Qian that observing on him but he knows her mind is not with him.

''Qian! Meimei!'' Yezhun called again but now a little bit higher voice tone caused Li Qian startled.

''What is it, gege?'' Li Qian asked in startling.

''What are you thinking?'' Yezhun asked.

Li Qian shakes her head.

''Gege, should I tell to jiejie's ex-boyfriend about what was happened to her? Should I tell to mom that jiejie's ex-boyfriend already met her and want to know the truth?'' Li Qian asked for confirmation.

''Jiejie's ex-boyfriend? You mean that guy? You met him? Jiejie too?'' Yezhun kept asking in surprised.

Li Qian nods as Yezhun already know about the ex-boyfriend of Shen Wei but still he didn't know the name. Just if he knows who is the actual ex-boyfriend of his sister, he must be shocked.

''Who is he? And where is he now?'' Yezhun asked.

''He works as a chief of police now. Name Zhao Yunlan,'' Li Qian honestly told.

''What?! That chief?! Oh, my god! I didn't know he is jiejie's ex-boyfriend. We met him in that bar and he saved us from that criminal on the last week. Oh, my! This world is too small! But, meimei... Jiejie seemed didn't know him at that time. Are you sure he is that chief?'' Yezhun confused as he mentioned about his sister with that chief.

Li Qian nods admitted.

''I am very sure, gege. Jiejie showed his picture to me when I was schooling before she broke up with him. Gege, on the day you and jiejie were kidnapped, he was there too. At first I didn't know that. But when you both were warded, he was warded too. Uncle Zhao met with mom and told about that incident. They had a talk but then uncle Zhao brought away Zhao Yunlan from the ward. Mom reported to the police and reporters that only you both in that incident place. I don't know why mom hid the existence of Zhao Yunlan in that incident,'' Li Qian told.
