At the other side of the town were a large ranch where both tame and wild horses, such as mustangs, are captured and kept. The wild horses that were kept in a paddock outside apparently broke through the gate and ran towards the town. Panice broke out across the city. Klaus pulled me to the side to keep me safe. Out of the corner of my eye, i could see a group if young men who appeared unaware of the current situation. While Klaus continued to hold my arm, the horses kept coming towards us. The boy group didn't realize the danger that was coming their way. They kept walking towards the middle of the street. Without a second thought, i pulled my arm out of Klaus grip and ran as fast as i could to the boy group. When i was almost there, i could see the herd out of the corner of my eye. With all strength i could effort, pushed the group aside as far as i could. A second later the horses were already past us. Both me and 2 of the young men from the group fell to the ground with me. There were 8 of them. Out of breath i sat up and looked around. Thank god no one was hurt. I turned back to the 2 gentleman on the ground who were, sympathetically, in shock.
"Are you ok, are you hurt?" I asked holding out my hand, to help them up.
One of the two looked at me, still frightened and confused, and took trembling my hand in his own.
"Y-yes, t-thank you." He said stuttering and stood unsteadily on his two legs again.
One of the others walked over to him and gave him a little support on his shoulders to make sure he didn't fall over again. I then turned my attention to the other young man, who was also on his feet again.
"Are you all ok?" I asked, looking in the round as everyone responded with a nod.
"You just saved our lives?!" One of them said who was standing to my right. He had dark blond hair and side cut on both sides.

"Äh yes, seems like that." I said smiling as i ran my hand through my hair.
"Why?" He asked, which made me a bit puzzled. I shrugged my shoulders and looked him in the eyes.
"Why not, i mean it doesn't matter if we know each other or not. Where would we land if we wouldn't help each other?" Then everyone stared at me in silence, and a few with a slight smile. As the young man with dark blond hair wanted to say something again, i felt in the next moment how i was being pressed into a broad chest.
"Have you lost your mind?! What if something had happened to you, you could have died! What were you thinking?!" Klaus pushed me away from his chest and hold my shoulders. He looked me up and down to see if i was hurt. His gaze radiated horror as well as anger, concern, shock and sadness.
"I thought that if they went any further they would die. 1 life for 8, i don't need to think twice." Klaus looked at me silently and let go of my shoulders as he sighed.
"You shouldn't have done that anyways."
"But i did, i can't just stand aside, when i know that i can do something about it. I thought it was the only right thing for me so i did it!" I got a little louder at the end and looked embarrassingly to the ground. Klaus took me in his arms again, but this time more gently and carefully.
"Huh, you're unbelievable." I laughed as i hugged him back.
"I know." We all started to laugh and Klaus took a step away from me. We looked at each other and he let go of me.
"Ähm, i will leave you alone then." I said as he pointed at me and at the boy group who were standing beside me. As i saw how he walked back to his stand, i heard a sight cough from my left.
