Cordelia spent her afternoons cooped up in the greenhouse, making potions and bits of mystical plants. She's away in her own world. I came down to look for a book I may have left in here earlier when I see a familiar face behind her. Fiona. I stand in the doorway and watch as Cordelia dropped her glass when Fiona makes her presence known, I laugh, making them both turn to me. Cordelia disapprovingly and Fiona with a smile.
"Hello, dear" Fiona smiles, opening her arms, which I willingly walk into, returning the embrace. "Hello grandma" I tease, earning me a gentle slap along with a chuckle, "Don't call me that, you make me sound old." I step back, glancing over at Cordelia who is scowling at the both of us, she's never liked how close we were, making me like it all that bit more.
"Y/N, what are you doing down here?" Cordelia sighed. "I was looking to see if my book was here, I think I left it earlier. Look there it is." I point in its direction and go to get it.
Cordelia turns back to Fiona, "What are you doing here, Fiona, I thought you were abroad?" she sounded fed up before she even started. "I'm back to make sure you haven't completely ruined the girls who attend this pitiful attempt at a coven." I laughed at that and turned to leave; I'll leave them to argue it out.

I make my way upstairs and to my room, isolating myself away once again to start reading. I'm not sure how long had passed when someone knocked at my door, not bothering to get up and open the door I just shout that it's open, not looking up from my book. They come over and sit at the end of my bed, so I finally look up. It's Fiona. Sitting up I put my bookmark in, placing my book aside and turn to her with a smile, "Hey!"
She turned back to me, legs crossed elegantly, smile on her face and asked, "How are your powers coming along, dear?" I had a big smile on my face as I told her about how well my transmutation was coming along and that I had recently found out I could move things using my mind but didn't have much control over it. She looked so delighted when I told her about my newfound abilities. "I can help you learn how to get control over them if you want to, I'm sure Cordelia won't mind" she chuckled the last bit. I eagerly nodded at the opportunity. Who wouldn't want to learn from the supreme?

"You're WHAT?" Cordelia was not happy about my new one on one lessons with Fiona. Fiona rolled her eyes, "Helping her in the way you won't"
They were arguing loudly outside the living room where me and the other girls were sat listening in. We had given up on trying to watch the movie that was on when their voices started to raise. "Who are they talking about?" Queenie looked around. I kept quiet. Madison said she didn't know so they looked at me. I just shook my head when Cordelia walked in and asked for me to come with her. I rolled my eyes and followed her out to where Fiona was waiting with a raised eyebrow. "We'll go to my office," and with that Cordelia headed off towards the stairs. We followed reluctantly.
Once inside her office she turned to us, crossing her arms and scowling. "You cannot give her special treatment. It's unfair to the other girls!" Fiona didn't seem to care, "She's my grandchild. I can teach her things if I wish to. The things you should do as her mother."
"And what would you know about being a mother?"
By this point I had already moved to sit myself in one of the chairs and watched on as the scene unravelled.
"Enough to know that you should be working with her, to build her control, rather than working with that pathetic man you're married to!"
"Why do you hate him so much? He is a wonderful husband and a delightful stepfather to Y/N. a better parent than you ever were."
With that I started to laugh, stood up and sarcastically quoted "delightful", using my middle and index fingers to make quotation marks in the air. Cordelia looked personally offended, and her mouth hung open slightly. "Oh, don't look at me like that, mother. You are the only person on this god forsaken planet who likes the man. There is something seriously wrong with him." She did not take well to that. "Y/N! How dare you speak about him like that." She ran her hands over her face, "Just, get out!" "Happily." and with that I left. As the door closed, I heard Fiona laugh.
Turns out the other girls had heard her shouting for me to leave and were intrigued as to what had happened. I brushed them all off, until I was thrown off by Zoe's question. "Why is she so much stricter to you?" I didn't know how to respond, I opened my mouth, then closed it again, before shrugging.
She just always had been stricter with me, but that may also be because I always acted out towards her. We also seemed to have an unwritten rule that we wouldn't let the other girls know that we were related. "I don't know. Bias?"
Madison and Queenie raised an eyebrow at me, but I just waved them off and turned away. They all continued to stare at me curiously and I continued to ignore them.
As I get to the bottom of the stairs, I turn back and face them with a shrug, "I heard there's a party tonight, who's coming? I can drink away the stress of that"
Madison jumped at the opportunity and Zoe shrugged but agreed. Saying she may not have anything to wear, but between me and Madison we would find something. Neither Queenie nor Nan seemed too interested in coming, but that's fine, I'm sure we will have plenty fun.
