Madison led the way into the overly glamoured building with me and Zoe following with our arms linked. It was bustling with teenagers who were definitely too young to be here and young adults who were desperately clinging onto their youth. It reeked of cheap perfume that had been sprayed far more times than was appropriate and a wide selection of alcohols. We pushed through the crowds and headed straight for the bar. Madison went straight in for vodka shots, which didn't surprise me at all, however me and Zoe went for Malibu and coke, sipping it as I observed people converse and move around. Zoe stayed close to my side, not knowing anyone around, watching as I waved back at those who waved at me, and keeping half an eye on Madison somewhere off in the distance.

We conversed for an hour or so before walking around saying hello to others I recognised. I soon got bored, so I grabbed Zoe's hand and pulled her through the crowd, we found an empty spot and we jokingly danced around. I had lost track of Madison, but didn't worry about it too much, she knows how to keep herself safe. By this point me and Zoe were tipsy and caring less by the second. Zoe seemed less stressed about being a witch and I had forgotten to make sure everything was going well. The carefree moment felt blissful. I need more moments like this in my life. The night continued on and me and Zoe danced around more, getting closer, ignoring those around us.
I think it was her who leaned in first, but in the end, it didn't matter, we were kissing. It was short and sweet, but delightful regardless. I normally wouldn't kiss someone hours after meeting them. I'm not that irresponsible, despite what Cordelia may think of me. When we pulled back, I saw a few fetishizing men watching and a few with their phones out, but don't think much of it. Those creeps can carry on. I held onto her waist, and we danced around for a while longer to the music, resting our heads together, in our own little worlds. Too happy to care. And possibly too drunk to care too. But nothing else mattered in that moment. I gave her another kiss before leading her back to the bar to get another drink, where we sat talking about her past and future dreams. No more than an hour must've passed when we decided to stand up again to head to the dance floor once again.

It was then that I saw some snobby looking generic sports guy drop something secretively into a drink out of the corner of my eye and my attention snapped to him. Zoe must have noticed my sudden change in demeanour and followed my eyeline and we both watched in horror as he headed towards Madison with it outstretched in her direction. Suddenly feeling sobered up, I quickly teleported myself behind him and knocked the glass from his hand just as Madison had reached for it.
"What the fu-" I raise my eyebrows at him before swinging for his right cheek.
"Maybe next time don't spike people's drinks, asshole." And grabbed Madison's arm to pull her away. He turned towards me to say something, but I just pulled Madison towards the exit, not paying attention to anything he had to say to us. I briefly heard him fumbling for excuses behind me but couldn't find anything in me to care. I grabbed Zoe's hand as we passed her dragging her with me too. "We're leaving now." I stated and headed for the door. Neither of them questioned my decision and just followed me, although I could tell neither of them were ready to yet. However, I would take miserable witches over drugged witches any day, that's for sure. I will make sure to give her a talk on why she needed to be more careful when taking drinks from strangers.

Once we were well out of the sight of the party and on our way back to the academy I let go of their arms. Madison quickly pulled away, but Zoe stayed close before slipping her hand back into mine.
"Y/N!" Madison scolded me, "You better hope everyone at that party was too drunk to remember that a girl just teleported her way across the room. If Cordelia gets wind of that, you'll be in deep shit-" I wave my arms dramatically, before interrupting her. She was always far too dramatic when drunk.
I decided to quickly shut down her absurd anxiety over the impossible before it got too out of hand.
"Will you stop fretting, you're probably too drunk to be able to remember this come morning. I don't care what she thinks, and how would she even find out anyway"
And with that we finished the walk back in silent.
