She found out. Videos. Someone was recording when I happened to appear in the background out of thin air. Cordelia had a very strict rule about not being seen in public doing anything that a non-witch couldn't do unless completely necessary. She did not see this as necessary, she seemed to think I could have run there quite efficiently. Madison went quiet, quite clearly infuriated by how little her safety seemed to mean to her Supreme. She turned and walked away after a while, and I don't personally blame her.

It turns out that some of those creepy men at the party had recorded me and Zoe. She wouldn't tell us where she got access to these videos. But that didn't matter at this point. She was furious. And we were the brunt of that anger.

Zoe seemed to be buzzing with anxiety beside me, but I personally was trying not to laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation. I failed.

"Why are you so angry?" I chuckled, "Is there a PDA rule now? Homophobia rule? Huh"

"Y/N! of course not! Do not be so ridiculous, I just think you should show more respect to new members than to go kissing them less than a day into joining the coven." She pinched the bridge of her nose and exhaled slowly.

I turned to Zoe, "Do you feel disrespected, my love?" adding the pet name solely to irritate my mother.

Zoe looked down and shook her head, her face red with embarrassment, infuriating Cordelia further.

"What's occurring here?" Fiona struts over, one eyebrow raised. Looking between the three of us, before smiling at me. "Cordelia here, seems to have a problem with just about everything" I tell her, gesturing in the direction of the mentioned witch.

Fiona scoffed, "How do I have such a stuck-up daughter?" turning away from Cordelia.

"Y/N were putting themselves in danger, carelessly preforming magic like that. Not to mention putting herself all over Zoe, who has barely been a member of the coven for twenty-four hours!"

"Just because you are stuck in a miserable marriage, doesn't mean I cannot have some fun in my youth. No need to be so overprotective, I can manage perfectly fine without you peering over my shoulder at every turn. And you know damn well that I needed to save Madison! God knows what that dickhead had put in her drink!" I couldn't believe her.

Fiona dismissed me and Zoe before turning to Cordelia, as we were leaving, we could here her chastising her for her overly strict teaching methods.

Me and Zoe go off to find Madison, who was sat in the greenhouse with Nan and Queenie, ripping up a piece of paper. Zoe took a seat and I walked to Madison and wrapped an arm around her shoulders- despite her shrug to push me off before she gave in and rested her head against me. "I think she will lay off us for this, Fiona is giving her a talking to." I tell her.

"Fiona has a sweet spot for you, I swear!" Queenie laughed. "Of course, I'm just fabulous!" I laughed back; Madison slapped me at that. "Don't flatter yourself."

"At least she likes you, Cordelia seems to have it out for you" Zoe laughed.

We sat there and all talked among ourselves about the more enjoyable parts of the party and our up coming weekend plans. Nothing too exciting. We found out more about Zoe's background and how she came to be here, and we shared our own stories- mine being twisted slightly obviously. We were probably sat there for around an hour when w got up to go back to the main building.

Unfortunately, I was greeted by not only Cordelia but also her failure of a husband, Hank. He smiled a sickly-sweet smile in my direction, and I grimaced at him and the possessive arm he held around Cordelia's waist. "Hello Hank." I sighed. "You all right, kid?" he reached for my shoulder, but I ducked away and stood the other side of Zoe, who seemed more confused than anyone there. "I'm fine. Look I'm not sticking around for small talk with people I don't even like." So, I turned to leave. Being around him makes me feel sick to my stomach, it's like he's trying so hard to persuade me of how nice he is, without just being nice anyway. I did not make it far however as my path was quickly blocked by Fiona who wrapped her arm around my shoulder and led me out to the green house. "Come one dear, lets work on those powers of yours."

We sat down beside each other on one of the tables and she placed one of Cordelia's gardening books down in front of me. "Right, now try to move it."

I must have stared at the peeling green edges of the book for the better part of five minutes, and nothing was happening. It was getting more and more frustrating by the second. Fiona must have noticed my impatience and patted my back encouragingly, "Come on, you've done it before."

Back to staring it was, the seconds creeped by nothing happening. All I wanted to do was to make it move, just slightly. "This is ridiculous, why won't it move!" and as I said that one of the vases behind me crashed down to the floor making us both jump. She started laughing at my apparent fear. "Stop laughing! That really scared me!" I couldn't help but laugh myself.

"You shouldn't be laughing, that was one of my nice pots."

I jumped again hearing Cordelia's voice from the doorway. "How long have you been hovering, mother?" I ask, "Just long enough to watch my daughter destroying my belongings." She sighed. "I was coming to tell you that me and the girls are going out for lunch in the town centre. Try not to break any more of my belongings." And she turned to leave.

As soon as she was out of ear shot, we started laughing like children. She was always so much fun with me.

We continued to work on my powers for a few more hours, and I even successfully moved the book at my will without breaking too many more things.

It was all going great until we got a phone call from Queenie.

Mom had had an acid attack.
