I went to Vegan summer fest in Gent today, was really nice and so much delicious food. I had to drag myself from the couch because of my food coma and finish this chapter so I could upload tonight haha. Have fun reading it. Eddie's POV will be refreshing in between the darkness that is Maeve's current condition... Hope you like it :) Let me know what you think <3

"As his ax tore through flesh and bones, decapitating the last Githyanki left standing, the entire town was safe again. Your party was swarmed by people, thanking and hugging you for your bravery. You were offered free beer at the local tavern by Lucinda and left the square."

"Oh man, just like that? No congratulations or thank you from the guards or mayor?"

Lucas looked at Mike with a mix of confusion and disappointment.

"Yeah dude, no chicks kissing us for saving them?"

"Gareth, seriously?"

"What? We saved them; a kiss wouldn't hurt."

"You always do this Mike, you end it way too abruptly."

"Because I have to be home in 14 minutes and it's a 19-minute bike-ride!"

"Just ask Eddie to drop you off, then we have like another 9 minutes of play time."

"No! The campaign is done, no more playing," Mike turned his head to Eddie, mustering his greatest puppy eyes,"Could you drop me off anyway?"

Eddie chuckled. He had been watching everyone reacting to the end of the first-ever Hellfire campaign by little Wheeler. Although he could've probably written a better ending with more details, cheering and maybe kisses, as Gareth mentioned, overall the kid did pretty good.

"Sure, but we gotta clean up first. Don't want the theater kids to throw a fit tomorrow morning."

"My, my, never thought I'd see the day coming, Eddie Munson suddenly became responsible."

Dustin was smirking at him, his eyebrows raised in a suggestive and teasing manner.

Little shit.

Eddie lunged for the boy, knocking off his cap and draping his arm around his neck, using his knuckles to mess up his hair. He didn't use the hand with the rings though, that could hurt. "Well of course Dustybun, if I have all these toddlers running around, I have to keep them out of trouble, don't I? Don't want their mommies to come knocking at my door,"

Gareth and Jeff snickered as they started collecting their notes and dice. Lucas and Mike really tried to hold back their laughter, but failed miserably anyways. Dustin had been trying to pry away Eddie's arm and huffed loudly,"You can't let that one go, can you?"

"I take it back; I do want your mothers to come knocking at my door. Especially yours Mikey."

The black-haired boy grimaced.

Eddie's snigger quickly became a yelp as Dustin sunk his teeth, and braces, into his skin.

"Au you little shit, you bit me."

"You call me a toddler, I'll act like one. And stop harassing Mike's mom!"

"It's not my fault she's hot!"

After getting all their stuff out of the theater room they were allowed to use for their dnd sessions, Gareth and Jeff quickly took off, leaving Eddie with the younglings. They walked through the side entrance of the school building, the only one that wasn't locked until 9 o'clock because of extracurricular activities. The sky was already dark, even though it was only ten to six. Gotta love winter.
