Chapter 10

Stiles and I finally find Lydia and we follow her around through the library, Lydia just tries to not ask why we were following her but she knows it's for a good reason. We walk past Danny and Jackson sitting at one of the tables, Jackson looks at Lydia and suddenly he looks super pissed off. We had sent Allison off to the Ms Morell's office to try and translate the Kanima stuff in the bestiary, since I didn't want to ask her myself. Ms Morell creeps me out, something about her is just off. Knowing Scott is going to talk to Derek I decide to follow him leaving Stiles to watch Lydia for a few moments. Finally catching up with Scott at the field, we only see Boyd, not the person we wanted to talk to.

"We want to talk to Derek" Scott says walking up to Boyd, me following behind him closely.

"Talk to me" Boyd states standing in his place.

"We don't want to fight Boyd" I state crossing my arms over my chest, trying to look tougher than I felt.

"Good, because I'm twice the size of both of you put together" Boyd states smirking as we all now stand only three feet apart.

"True, really really true, but you wanna know what I think?" Scott asks Boyd and Boyd's smile fades a bit "We are twice as fast" Scott says cocking his head to the side along with Boyd's.

"And twice as powerful" I say smirking.

Scott quickly tackles Boyd's body to the ground, making a loud thud in the ground and Scott moves away and I quickly spin my body and kick Boyd's shoulder knocking him back over. Once Scott and I regain our posture Derek finally appears beside Scott.

"She failed the test" Derek says deadpanned.

"Yeah which doesn't prove anything" Scott says to Derek, trying to convince him.

"Lydia's different" I state.

"I know, at night she turns into a homicidal walking snake" Derek sneers and I narrow my eyes annoyed with him, he won't believe us no matter what we say.

"I'm not going to let you kill her" Scott says, a small growling tone in his voice and I nod in agreement.

Derek raises his eyebrows and then looks to Boyd, who smirks back at his alpha and then they both look towards us smirking "Who said I was going to kill her?" He tells us and my eyes widen.

Scott and I both look back to the school, knowing he meant Erica and Isaac.

Scott goes to run toward but Boyd tackles him to the ground and I quickly move away and jump into the air, my wings spreading out and they flap behind me so I'm out of reach of Boyd's attack. Scott groans and Derek looks down to Scott "I don't know why you have to protect everyone else Scott, even so Lydia has killed people, and she's going to do it again and next time it's going to be one of us" Derek states and I growl.

"What if you're wrong Derek" I state.
