You feel the vibration of your phone and as you look at it, it reads, 'one new notification'

You turn to look at your phone, and as you start to open the notification you get another one, this time from Israa. It reads,

Yo y/n did you get that party invite too?

yeah  but I haven't read the message yet hold up

You open the message again and it's from someone called 'Kai'.

never heard of them

The message says,

"Yo!!! What up sophomores! You all are invite to a big party at my place on Saturday at 6pm. My parents are away for the weekend so I've made the decision of inviting you all for the best house party of all time! Hope you can make it. (address details)
-Kai"

Once you finish reading the message you send another message to Israa.

You turn off your phone and lay down, as you sit there and think for a minute.
Israa is quite right actually... she's got a very good point. I could talk to him, get his number, talk to him even more, ask to hang out and get even closer with him! Omg what a perfect plan! I'm definitely going to this house party.

You hear a distant calling of your name. You realise it's your mom calling you down for dinner.
"Coming!" You shout back.
While you climb down the stairs you think to yourself again
This is my perfect chance to ask her to go to the house party!
You and your parents all sit down to eat. It's spaghetti, your favourite! You don't have any siblings you wish you did though, Israa was the closest thing you had to a sibling but she's leaving to move to another county at the end of this school year.It's not her choice, it's her parents but she can't do anything about it. Your parents love Israa however, they always let her over and if you go anywhere and Israa is with you they will 100% let you go so you might actually be able to go to this house party since Israa is going.
"Mom," you say nervously.
"Yes?" she replies.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Of course sweetie!"
"Sooo there's this house party on Saturday and all the sophomores are going its at some guy called Kai's house at 6pm and I was wandering if I could go? Maybe? Please?"
"Absolutely not!" she replies
"But mommmm that is so unfair!"
"It is most certainly not unfair your only 16, you are not going to a house party! End of discussion, now it your food before it gets cold."
You are confused why she's not letting you go since Israa is going as you realise you completely forgot to mention that.
"Oh yeah mom I forgot to mention,"
"Yeah?"
"Israa's going,"
"Oh sweetie! You should've just said so, of course you can go!"
"That was a quick change," you say under your breath quietly.
"What was that?" Your mom replies.
"Oh nothing," You say as you start to get up and put your plate in the sink. "Thanks for the food mom!"
"Oh no problem!" She replies
When you go back to your room you get your phone and text Israa.

Israa I'm allowed to go! My parents said yes!

Omg yesss! Mine too, this party is gonna be so much fun

You open instagram and scroll through it until the rest of the evening until you get tired and fall asleep.
