You hear the continuous, annoying ringing of your alarm and take a big stretch You groan and start to head downstairs.

"Hey mom!" you say to your mom that's already awake, making breakfast.
"Hey sweetie, how did you sleep?"
"Alright I guess," you reply
"Well you've got your second day of sophomore today!"
"Mhm." You say quietly.
Grabbing the bowl of cereal your mom made you, you look at the time and start munching it faster.
Ugh I'm running late yet again
Once you finish, you get dressed and finish the rest of your morning routine.
"Bye mom I'm leaving now!"
"Alright have a good day sweetie!"
As you get out the door, you put your airpods in and put your phone on shuffle.

You arrive at school and as soon as you see Israa you give her a huge hug.
"Heyy!" you say.
"Hey girllll,"she replies.
"So y/n..I had this idea that you can try talk to Charlton more today and ask him about the party you know? Ask if he's going or something,"
"Yeah I guess I could do that we'll see how it goes."
"Yeah we should head to class now it's getting a bit late."
"Sure." You say, as you walk together to your classroom. You had English. You didn't mind English you quite enjoyed it actually, especially writing.
"OMG ISRAA YOU'RE JOKING!"
"What?" Israa replies in confusion
"CHARLTON'S IN OUR ENGLISH CLASS!"
"WHAT!"
"YESS OMG I THINK IM GONNA TRY TALK TO HIM AFTER CLASS!"
"Omg go for it!"
You walk into class together and sit in your assigned seats.
The teacher starts the lesson and everyone listens quietly.

The end of the lesson comes and you an Israa instantly look at each other.
Okay you can do this.
You think to yourself as you take a deep breath. "Oh hey Charlton!"
He turns around.
"Wassup y/n,"
"Nothing much but I was wondering...did you get that invitation for the house party at Kai's place?"
"Yeah of course! It was kind of my idea, Kai's one of my bros you know, told me his parents were away so I was like why not just throw a house party?"
"Ah that makes sense,"
"Mm, so you coming?" he asks
"Yeah! With my best friend Israa," you say as you put your arm around her.
"I'm glad you are! I guess I'll see you there y/n."
"Oh and one more-" you start, but it's too late Charlton had already walked away.
"Bruh I was gonna ask him for his phone number," you say, as you turn to Israa.
"Omg really?" she asks.
"Yeah...but I guess I'll just ask next time." you say in disappointment.
"Girl it's okayyy he's definitely into you anyway, you could just ask at the party I think that would've been way better anyway since you have so much more time!"
"Yeah I guess you're right thanks Israa, you're always helping me and cheering me up I appreciate it."
"Of course, you're my best friend."
You hug each other and go to you're next class.

a few hours later, after school you're lying on your bed going on your phone until you get an unexpected notification.
