"Lilianna? Are you doing alright?" Frollo asked as I sat on the horse and he held onto the reins.
"I'm okay, this is a lovely horse by the way" I said trying to not be so gloomy.
"What's his name?" I asked.
"His name is Snowball,I'm quite fond of him myself" Frollo said with a smirk.
"That's an interesting name, I figured you'd say something like Storm or midnight"
Frollo shrugged, "I've had him since I was much younger. My parents gave him to me on a cold winters night. This earning the name snowball."
"Oh I see, do your parents still live in Paris?" I asked.
"Are we headed in the right direction?" Frollo asked clearly avoiding the question.
"Um..yes, just over that stone bridge there" I said.
After we crossed we came across my cottage.
It wasn't fancy as I mentioned earlier. It was small, white with a red roof. Covered in flowers and vines across the two front windows. Next two the cottage was a stable with four pens inside.
"Home sweet home" I said getting off of snowball.
"You..live here alone?" Frollo asked somewhat confused.
"Well yes, but it's not too lonely. I have my animals to keep me company. I have horses in the stables and puppy."
"Is that so? So you truly don't have any family members living with you?"
I shook my head, "It's.. it's complicated Frollo. But I'm sure your exhausted from walking all this way. Would you like to come inside for some tea?" I asked trying to be as polite as I could possibly be.
"I'd love to dear but I really must be off, I have a meeting early tomorrow morning. But perhaps another time?"
I nodded, " Sounds great. Thank you again for everything Frollo. You've been so kind to me I'm not sure how I could ever repay you."
"As long as you continue to work at the church Liliana and allow me to see you each day that would be plenty" Frollo said as he climbed back onto Snowball.
"I will" I said with a shy smile.
"Excellent, till tomorrow my dear" with that said Frollo rode away into the night leaving me waving at my front door.
(The Next Morning)
I awoke to the familiar feeling of my adorable puppy licking my face.
"Good morning Wanda" I said smiling at her. She was 8 weeks old, with Tiny legs, hazel eyes, grey fur with a white streak on her head and white fur on all of her paws.
She let out cute little barks to tell me she was hungry.
I rolled my eyes at her and walked with her into my kitchen.
I placed some food in her bowl and fixed myself a breakfast consisting of eggs, toast and tea.
When we were done eating, we both went outside to feed the horses some hay.
"Good morning Ladies" I said greetings all 4 of them.
"Hi Dorothy" I said to my pretty brown horse with white patches.
"Bonjour Blanche" I said to my pretty white horse.
"Buenos dias Sophia" I said to my grey horse with a black main and tail.
"Morning Rose" I said to my light brown horse with a golden tail and mane.
"You all look well today, eat up girls. I promise I'll take you all out for a ride very soon."
With that said I gave each of them a kiss and a pat on the head before going inside to change my clothes.
Today I settled on a purple dress with long black sleeves. I pulled my hair back in its usual high ponytail and black boots.
When I sure I was ready to go I said my goodbyes to Wanda and began walking to the church.
Curious to see if I would run into Frollo and see if he kept his promise about my necklace.
