He was running down an alley.

Attacking a few hell hounds sent his way by Hades. He'd curse him later for that.

The last hell hound managed to sneak up on him and throw him into a flashback but not before it was sent to where it belonged.

~~~FLASHBACK~~~
It was the first day James Smith would step into camp. Percy patrolled the camp borders with Jason as they laughed among themselves. It was a great day and then they heard a scream in the distance.
(Sorry, I'm terrible at writing, you would know that if you read my other book which is now discontinued. I'm trying to make this book as good as I can. Hopefully, I can.  Anyways, on with the story.)
They rushed to where they heard the scream and Percy took out Riptide as Jason simultaneously took out his gladius. Five hell hounds were attacking a boy who looked to be at the age of 15.
(First dialogue of the book. Like I said I'm not good at writing so don't blame me if it's actual trash.)
"You take the left two and I'll take the three on the right", said Percy
Jason nodded swiftly and went ahead to do what he was told. Although he wasn't one to listen to what somebody said, Percy was an exception. Jason tried to be as unique as him and be as heartless and kind as him (although he'd try to be a bit less oblivious) but Percy was so much better than him.
Quickly, the hell hounds died but not before the boy being attacked stole Riptide and Jason's gladius (they both were caught off guard) and claimed to have killed all 5 hell hounds by himself, which was considered to be an impossible task for somebody new to the mythological world.
Instantly all the campers started fawning over him, but what hurt the most was that Annabeth and Piper did as well. Percy and Jason stood to the side, their mouths open wide, staring in shock at the audacity of the new camper.
(That will be the symbol for a time skip, just so all of you know. Thanks for reading this far!)
It had been a week since James had arrived at camp and he was intent on trying to take over Percy's position as camp leader. As for Jason, he was leaving him alone but threatened to make Camp Jupiter turn on him if he said anything to the campers or took Percy's side. Due to this Jason mostly snuck out to talk to Percy, but avoided him for the most part.
Everybody, including Annabeth and Piper, was supporting James. Annabeth and Piper, mainly, were fawning all over him, and Annabeth was becoming what she despised: a typical blondie. Piper also became one of the many girls supporting James (although she wasn't fawning over him because she was still with Jason) and because Jason still loved her, Piper made him support James although he assured Percy that he was still with Percy and loathed James.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Although Annabeth made it painstakingly obvious she liked James, Percy hoped that their relationship would be as great as ever. After all, they had been in Tartarus together! They'd even gone through two wars with each other's company! Heck, they'd been the ones to lead the two wars!

(Am I using too many exclamation marks? I can't tell. Constructive Criticism is appreciated! Thank You!)

Percy thought he could make their bond stronger and distract her from James if he proposed to her. That's right little boy Percy was little no longer. (That sentence hurt for me to write it). He decided that he would go to Athena and prove that he could be a great husband to her daughter.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been two months since the last scene and Percy had managed to defeat Athena in a trivia quiz and Athena had given Percy her blessing. But she also made it very clear that if Percy hurt Annabeth in any way, shape, or form, strongest swordsman or not, he wouldn't live to see the end of it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was finally time! Percy had arrived at the shores of camp half-blood when he immediately felt that something was wrong.

When he entered he was met with the same sight he always saw: people glaring at him. But something just felt... off. He walked down to the beach to calm his thoughts when he ran into a couple kissing and a crowd cheering them on. Percy just assumed that it was just a random couple that had feelings for each other but finally admitted it, but boy was he wrong.

When he looked carefully, he saw that the couple kissing was no other than James and Annabeth. But what broke him was that he saw Poseidon cheering them on with the crowd and yelling, "That's my son", while cheering loudly. (Does that even make sense?)

This stunned him into silence and he quickly ran to his cabin, told Jason that he was leaving, and left immediately, but then he was summoned to Olympus. (I don't know how to make that sentence much better)

He regained his bearings fairly quickly as he was training on a certain something that involved teleporting. He got pulled out of his thoughts as he heard Zeus yell:

"Perseus Achilles Jackson, you have been charged with aiding Gaea and Kronos in our past wars, how do you plead?" Zeus thundered (Pun very much so intended)

"I plead innocent, milord" Percy replied his eyes wandering from eye to eye of all 14 Olympians (Hades and Hestia had been added to the council) hoping to find an ally amidst them, but all he saw was anger, anger directed to him, but worst of all, his father was glaring at him like no tomorrow. Even the most peaceful of them all, Hestia, was glaring at him!

"Innocent! Innocent?! You dare say that you didn't murder Sally, Estelle, and Paul?! You traitor! I disown you! I, Poseidon, god of the seas and oceans, Earthshaker, and creator of horses disown Perseus Achilles Jackson and take my godly DNA from him. From here on out, his blood will be poison, for every water droplet he touches, it shall feel like poison!" Poseidon screeched.

While Poseidon spoke the words, Percy felt immense pain and felt like his guts were being boiled and poisoned which was not far from what was happening. He started glowing and then he felt weaker than he'd ever felt, but then he glowed again, and although his pain didn't go away, he felt stronger. "This is probably how people on steroids feel," Percy thought, until a part of the statement Poseidon had made crept into his head: Sally, Estelle, and Paul had been murdered.
