Chapter 4: A surprise

After school Lexi took the bus home. She walked to the house and did as usual, go to room and don't come out till supper. Well on her way to her room her mom stopped her. Wait I have something big to tell you! Her mom said excitedly. Lexi felt a rush of hope fill her heart for a second. What? Lexi asked. We are moving! Her mom said, over joyed. Lexi felt so happy she could hug her mom and never let go. Lexi didn't have good friends. Her friends were back stabbers. Accidentally lie to one and bam rumors are spread about you. Lexi was a very shy, lonely girl. This was a good opportunity to start fresh. When do we leave? Asked Lexi. Tomorrow, I have everything already packed and ready to go. Her mom replied. Yay!!! Lexi thought, no more bullies, or backstabbing friends, bad grades, hurtfull words, or loneness. The next day was probably one of the best days she had. Only one time did someone pish her into the locker and cuss her out for something she didn't know she did. There was only one rumor to! She actually got a good grade to! C-!!! Why couldn't this happen every day? She asked herself. After school she road the bus home. There was already a moving van with boxes, and boxes stacked in it. Just a few more, her mom said, carrying a box to the van. Her dad got the last one and put it on the top of a stack. He pulled a large handle downward and the door fell shut with a load clank. Lexi climed in the middle of her mom and dad in the front seat. They drove for about three hours or more before they stopped to eat and take a bathroom break, and get gas. So where are we going? Lexi asked. Her mom looked at her, far, far away from where we lived. Her dad came out of a building and asked, anyone hungry? "Nope" Lexi and her mom said at the same time. Ok her dad replied. They loaded up once again and Lexi fell asleep on her moms shoulder. Her mom played her head against the window and fell asleep. To them it felt like ten minutes when they finally arrived at their new house.
