Tommy leaned against the car window, watching the trees rush by. His suit jacket and tie he had chucked in the trunk, only the undershirt and pants left. Phil occasionally glanced at him and Will, concern. Tommy had been unnaturally quiet since he had stood in a hospital room, looking at Techno and not hearing what his older brother was saying. They had just left the burial, which Will had helped with. Tubbo had been hugging Tommy, comforting his best friend as much as he could. Tommy didn't say anything, not even paying attention. Will was scrolling through his phone, eyes still red and puffy. Phil turned back to the road.

"I'm so sorry boys." Phil thought, turning into the driveway. Tommy's hands were still clutching the golden crown and blood red cape, given to him. Everyone thought Wilbur would get, but it was handed to Tommy instead. No one knew why.

Tommy slammed the car door, and speed walked inside, clutching the cape and crown tightly. He ran for his room, and they heard the door slam.

    "Should I-"

"No Will, he needs time alone. It's a lot for him, he's still processing." Phil interrupted. Will nodded, walking to the kitchen to get some water.

Tommy didn't come out for dinner later that day, causing Phil to check on him. Tommy was passed out on his bed, in a t-shirt and sweatpants, curled up in a comforter. Tommy's phone had slid onto the floor, and the cape was folded neatly on Tommy, so desk, the crown on top of it. Phil set a plate of spaghetti and garlic bread on Tommy's desk with a note reading 'Please Eat. -Phil.' Phil gently closed the door.

Tommy sat up, his hair flopping in front of his eyes, and the blanket falling off of him. He glanced over, seeing a plate of spaghetti, and a fork.

"Did I fall asleep...?" He asked himself, slightly dazed, before it hit him at full force. He choked on a sob and burried his head between his legs. Techno was gone. He wasn't coming back. Techno wouldn't help him cut his hair when it got long, or be seen outside in his little potato garden, or talk about the time a lesbian called him cool, or talk about how Tommy was annoying. Tommy cried, quietly.

    He muttered quietly,

    "Please, come back..."

A red cape, slightly transparent, was seen, for a fraction of a second, out the window.

Techno's ghost smiled, a sad smile.

    "I never left, Tommy."
