Kuroko no Basuke Magazine: Issue #9

☢Rapid Rant: Respect Others☢

Once again, it's MyDeathLolipop here for another rapid rants.

As everyone knows, we are a fandom. We make the Kuroko no Basuke fandom what it is today with our imagination, fanart and fanfictions, etc. Our fandom is an amazing one at that. I personally do enjoy our fandom and its members. What I do not enjoy, or appreciate, is when we disrespect our other members.

First of all, just because someone is new to the fandom, it does not mean you should pick on them. Everyone in the fandom was new at one point, so it is not fair. In a fandom, we are a family. If someone new doesn't know something and they ask about it, it definitely is not respectable to laugh at them and make fun of them. You should always help out the new members and make them feel at home. If you had just joined, you wouldn't like it if someone treated you like that, would you?

Secondly, it's not nice to hate on people's fanart or fanfictions. It does take a lot of courage to post fanart or fanfiction online. I know some people who spend hours working on small things just do that people won't criticize it. If, for example, someone drew a picture of Kuroko that wasn't as amazing as you always see, it isn't fair to the artist to tell them that they are trash. I'm not joking when I say that on some fanart, I see more insults than compliments. Also, for fanfictions, unless the author asked for it, don't critique it. Authors do not always enjoy someone pointing out every little mistake that they may have made, so just don't do it. Always respect each other's fan-made things.

Thirdly, everyone is allowed to post what they want. If you don't like - for example, a ship that they posted - ignore it instead of hating on it. Just because you don't like a certain ship, it doesn't mean everyone has to hate it. Do not make someone else upset for liking something that you don't. The same goes for everything else. Another thing, if someone posts their opinion about something (like what I'm doing right now), it isn't right to tell them that they are wrong. A person's opinion is not wrong, it is their opinion. They are free to do and say whatever they want. It isn't up to you to decide what they post, but it's up to them. So ignore what you don't like and admire what you do.

The final, and worst thing of all, is that most of the people who hate on others work are the people who claim to love Kuroko no Basuke the most. I don't think I have ever seen with my own eyes someone hate on someone else without having someday saying "I'm a huge fan of KnB." Then again, it's not everyone. There are people who are dedicated fans and don't hate on others and others who are not big fans who do hate. However, most of the time it is the so-called "Dedicated Fans."

Once again, these are all my opinions. I feel like our fandom isn't the same as when it started. When it started out, everyone was happy to give positive feedback for everyone and everyone felt happy. But nowadays, there seem to be more and more people hating on each other. Can we go back to being nice and caring for everyone? Thank you for reading.
