Mery and Scout were working together with finishing the clean up of the area outside Mery's room. It's been a week since Scout woke up in Mery's care, Scout couldn't help to notice that Mery was a lot more calmer than the others, but Scout could tell that Mery was planning something. Once they were finished cleaning, Mery looked at Scout with a soft smile.
Mery: I think you're ready to begin your training, Scout. But first you must stay here until I finish preparing a surprise I have been planning for you. I'm going to have Daisy keep you company while I'm gone. Is that alright, my dear?
Scout: Yeah, that's okay. I prefer Daisy than the others.
Mery then left her area and went to Daisy in her area with the soft smile still on her face. Daisy looked at Mery slightly confused as Mery walked in the kitchen.
Mery: Hello, Daisy. I wanted to ask, if you can watch over Scout for me while I'm going out to get a big surprise for her.
Daisy: Oh, a surprise? What for?
Mery: I believe Scout is ready to begin her training with me. So, I have been planning something very special for her. I'm going to tell Mortimer about my surprise, and then ask Riley to come with me to pick it up. I don't want Scout leaving the room until I got the surprise all prepared and ready! ( She said cheerfully )
Daisy: Well, don't worry, sweetie. I'll distract her as long as I can. Good luck
Mery smiled widely before she went to find Mortimer and Riley having tea. Mery slowly opened the door as quietly as possible, Rosco then saw her and ran to her with his tongue sticking out and tail wagging. Mortimer looked at Mery with a smile, while Riley looked at her with slight confusion.
Mery: Hello to you too, Rosco. ( She pets Rosco's head )
Mortimer: Mery! What a surprise!
Mery: Sorry for interrupting you and Riley's tea time, but I have good news about Scout.
Riley: She's dead? ( She half joked )
Mery: Riley, I'm going to ignore what you said because it was mean and not funny. Anyway, Scout is ready to begin helping me with the tasks you want us to do, Mortimer, but I need Riley's help with picking up Scout's surprise to unlock her inner killer.
Mortimer: But didn't you say that you didn't want Scout's sanity to break?
Mery: No. I just said that I didn't want her to be like me. I was hoping once the surprise is ready, the whole gang could gather together and support Scout's first step at becoming one of us. ( She said with a cheerful smile )
Mortimer: That would be splendid, my dear. What is this surprise?
Riley started drinking from her cup of tea.
Mery: I tracked down where Scout's host lives.
Riley choked on her tea in shock.
