The Mistake

Chapter 1

"Look at Danny." Says my friend Sara.

I roll my eyes, "why do you waste your time over him, HIM of all people?" I say as I took a quick at him, the look back at my paper.

"Don't even act like you don't like him, you both listen to the same music, same style choices, and your brother is his best friend."

"God he's stupid though, he thinks he's cool because he drinks and parties."

"You're such a hypocrite, you drink and go to parties, too Sophie."

"Yeah, but I don't act like a whore at them, and I don't go to be cool either."

She rolls her eyes, "whatever, he's hot."

The bell rings and Sara runs to catch up with her other friends.

I fix my papers and and put them in my bag, and Ben walks infront of me, " party at Danny's tonight, coming?"

"No, I have to study." I say and put on my backpack.

"When do you give up drinking to 'study'?"

I shrug, "I just don't feel like it."

"Soph, you know I'll never let him do anything again."

"Ben I don't want to go, he's humiliated me countless times."

"Sorry." He says.

I sigh feeling bad, "sorry Benny", I say and hug him, "I'll go."

"You don't have to go for me."

"I know, it's fine, my friends wanted me to come anyway." I say.

He nods and we walk to our lockers. "You ditched me for that loser?" asks Danny as he walks up to us.

I roll my eyes. "Danny, be nice." Says Ben.

He shrugs and they walk away.

I walk out to my car and wait for Ben to walk to Danny's car, then come back to me.

Ben comes to my car in like five minutes and hops in, "where to?"

I shrug, "that restaurant we went to for lunch on Friday."

"Okay", he says and and gives me directions.

"Okay, I'm going to go with Danny so we can hang out before the party." Says Ben as I grab my books.

"Okay."

"Starts at 8 come by at 7:35, so we can hang out."

I nod, "ok, see ya." I say and my boyfriend comes up as Ben leaves.

"Eh, Sophie." he says as he hugs me and kisses me.

"Hey Drake." I smile and we walk out to my car.

"So what're you going to do, since I'm going out of town?" asks Drake as we get into the car.

"Just stay home, I have to study for a test", I lie, not wanting him skip just to come to a party with me.

"Oh, that sounds fun", he smiles.

I smile, "if you say so."

I just dropped Jake off and on my way home, I look at my phone, 5:50.

I study for about 20 minutes, then jump in the shower, when I got out it was 6:30, I straighten my hair to perfection, then get dressed in black ripped skinny jeans, and stylish sleeveless black led zeppelin shirt, then black allstar hightops.
