The Mistake

Chapter 4

"Did you tell him?" asks Ben over the phone.

"Yeah."

"Where is he?"

"He said he needs time to think." I say as lay down on my couch.

"Well just give him a few hours, maybe a day for him to process this and make his decision."

"That was the plan." I say and mess with my piercing.

"Okay I goto go, I have to do a recording and Danny's still not here."

"Ok, bye." I say and hang up and fall asleep on the couch.

I awoke to light tapping on the door.

I walk to the door and open it and it reveals Danny.

He just hugs me and doesn't let go, "where is she?"

"She's at her grandparents." I say quietly and hug him.

He nods and keeps hugging me.

"So I take it you're going to be here for Leah?" I ask as I pull away.

He nods and sniffs.

"A few rules when you're with Leah, no drinking, or doing drugs." I say seriously.

"Fine."

"I'm serious Danny."

"I know", he says.

I nod, "it's fine."

"Ok", says Danny awkwardly, "could we drink now?" he asks hopefully.

I sigh but nod.

He goes outside and comes back with a bottle of jack and a two litter of coke. "I know you don't like jack alone, he says and we goto the kitchen.

"Want a shot glass?"

He nods. I get down 2 and place them on the table and we take shots.

After about twenty shots I was done, I grabbed a cup and filled half of it with coke and a little bit of jack.

    "I just gotta break it to Ben", says Danny as he looks into space then takes a shot.

My heart sinks, Danny loves that band, the boys were his family besides Leah.

   I sigh and take a drink and shrug, "maybe you can keep the band together, just slow down touring", I suggest.

"That would mean some fans not being able to see us", he says. He perks up then, "what if you guys came on tour", he says.

  I choke q bit on my drink, "Danny, we can't just go, Leah has friends and family here", I say.

"Come on, you can comeback for holiday", he says.

    "No", I say.

I set my unfinished drink on the table, "I'm gonna go to bed, you're welcome to the couch", I say.

   I walk to my room and take a shower and get dressed and go to bed.
