I have to see her.
Spencer knew that he shouldn't go to the gallery, but with days left before he was to report to Pentonville, he couldn't leave without saying goodbye to Trina.
His apology to Britt went better than he had expected and that left Spencer hopeful as he made his way across town. While walking out of General Hospital he thought about what he would say once he saw her.
I can't say what I truly want to, but I need to see her regardless.
Thinking back to the one and only time Trina did visit him at Spring Ridge, Spencer stopped walking for a second before looking at his watch. He didn't have much time to go back to Wyndemere and make it to the gallery before Trina left for the day, but he had to try. Spencer made sure to pick up the pace with each step as he rushed home.

Trina checked off a few items from the latest inventory list and looked over her shoulder at Joss, who seemed to be thinking hard about something. "Hey, is everything alright?"
Not getting an answer, Trina tried again. "Joss?"
Finally looking up at her, Joss smiled, "So you and Rory made things official ?"
Trina looked at Joss and sighed as she put down the inventory checklist. "Well, sort of. I think."
With her best friend now in her face, a tiny part of Trina wished she'd had stuck to checking the gallery's inventory.
"Well, it's clear that he likes you. And you like him too, right?"
"Yeah, I do. Rory has been a great friend to me."
Joss rolled her eyes and nudged Trina's shoulder. "Come on Trina! Everyone can see that Rory likes you as more than a friend."
Hearing that made Trina feel even worse. After the trial, Rory even came to her house and spent time together with her family. But even as her mom winked her approval of Rory from across the room, Trina couldn't help but wish someone else was there. Someone her mom has disliked for quite some time.
"I know. And we were going to talk after the trial, but then my mom and Curtis put together the celebration party and ..."
Joss cut Trina off with a question of her own. "Do you like Rory?"
"I do, but -"
"But what, Trina? If you like Rory, and we all know that he likes you, then why not start dating already?"
Sighing, Trina looked off into the corner behind Joss at the newest painting. It was from an upcoming artist named Shaw M. Livingston. The deep brush strokes of red against the white canvas drew her into the bold swirls of royal blue dots.
How can you appreciate the light without the dark?
Spencer's words from one of their many art conversations lingered in Trina's thoughts. She tried to focus again on the list in her hands, but soon her thoughts turned to Spencer again. How he took the stand at court and admitted to breaking out of Spring Ridge while serving his month sentence. With his eyes on hers throughout his testimony, Trina thought back to how they seemed to plead with her to not look away. She couldn't even if she had tried. He had no reason to take the stand in my defense...why? Why did he do it?
As her lips turned downward, Trina forced her eyes closed before opening them again. When she did, Joss was also looking her way and the concern she saw on her friend's face made Trina worry. "Joss? What's wrong?"
