Chapter 12

It had been a a week since the mission were Iornhide, Ratchet and Optimus almost got killed. Ratchet had Optimus carry one of those beasts back to base for studying. Iornhide and Optimus had been the only ones bitten during the battle nothing to seriously bad. But It still scared me seeing my adopted father and Iornhide almost die right in front of me. But that would explain a lot. Iornhide and me were in the training hall we were touching up on our combat and weaponry. "How you doing after are battle at the warship?" He asked me. I glance at him. "Better I guess. It was pretty scary seeing my best friend almost parish in front of me. Even seeing Optimus almost die scared me." I sadly spoke. Iornhide stops and walks over to me. "I understand it was scary but I did promise I wasn't going to leave your side again. I mean it." He said rubbing his thumb on my hair. I smile slightly. "I know." I reply shortly. the rest of the day had gone by slow as me and hide gotten warn out and I had left to tale a shower. as I took my shirt of I notice a blue tint of skin on the back of my shoulder. It looked  bad. I slipped my shirt back on and walk into the main room. I spot Ratchet yelling at smokescreen. "Hey dad. I need you to see something." I call out. He looks at me and instantly knows it's something serious. He picks me up in his hand and brings me I to med bay. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Better if I show you." I said. he nods. I turn around and take my shirt off. "Dear Primus!" He said stepping back shocked. I flinch a little. "When did you discover this?" He asked. "when I was going to take a shower a minute ago. Why what is it?" I asked. "You were hit with toxen. But why would  symptoms be showing now?" He said as if asking himself. I feel my own panic start to rise. "I need to inform Optimus. Is it ok he sees this? " He asked. I nod. He walks off and I sit on the bed. I kinda wished Iornhide was here. Ratchet walks back in with a concerned Optimus. "Show him." Ratchet spoke. I turn around and lift my shirt again. "When did you get this?" He asked. "I have no idea really I was about to take a shower and I noticed it. I mean it doesn't hurt if that helps. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything bad." I explained putting my shirt down and facing them. Ratchet looks at Optimus sadly. Optimus sighs. "Rain this type of injury should have killed you the moment the toxen hit skin." Ratchet explained. My blood runs cold. "Is it still possible!" I said in fear. Ratchet picks me up "I don't think so but if it dose get worse or starts to hurt I need you to get me or Optimus as soon as possible." He said soothing my fear. I give a half smile. I was relieved that I wasn't actually going to die but I was still scared it was still possible. "Can I tell Iornhide?" I asked. "You can. But only of your comfortable with it." Optimus responded. Ratchet sets me down and I wave and go to find Iornhide. I walk back into the main room and find my younger brother Nile playing videogames with Sideswipe and Bumblebee. "Hey you three seen Iornhide anywhere?" I said walking up to them. "He's out for a drive. Said he'd be back later." Bee spoke. I sigh and walk off into mine and the girls room. I plop onto my bed and cry. I fall into a light nap hoping hide would be back soon. I jolt awake to the sound of our detector sirens. I climb out of bed and grab my gear and weapons and run out the door trying to get my hair into a ponytail. I make it to the others as they were to geared up. Optimus and Ratchet stood in front of the large computer.  "We got an SOS from Jazz and Arcee. There in New York. Recover team get ready." Optimus orders. I look around and couldn't find Iornhide anywhere. I open a private comlink. "Hide were are u. There sending us off." I asked. "I'm five minutes out.  go without me I'll have Ratchet bridge me there." he said loudly. I look at bee. "Can I have a ride. Hides still five minutes out. he'll ketch up."  I asked. Bee nods and transforms and me, Kia, Drake, the wins, Bulkhead, Wheeljack, Bee and Optimus drive throw the groundbrige. Once on the other side I had to instantly jump out and jump into battle with KSI solders!?. I am going to have night mears killing humans! I take a deep breath and continue to fight. but soon the cons drive in and start to add onto the huge fragged up plate!! "Ratchet we are really out numbered!" I said throw the comlink. "Rain I swear to Primus If you get killed I will never forgive myself." Ratchet shouts. "I won't!" I said sharply. "Ratchet send Prowl and smokescreen we need backup!" Optimus orders throw the comlink. I flinch as a solider throws me onto the floor knocking the wind out of me. I go to push him off but he stabs a dagger into my side. I scream in pain. "I'm coming Rain!" I hear hide shout throw the link. I manage to kill the them and push them off. I stand up and begin firing shots on more. Hide speeds past and bribes barricade into the dirt. "Fall back!" I hear Opitmus shout. I am lifted up by Iornhide and we all make it into base. Even with the new recruit. Ratchet gets all lovey dovey with Optimus. I gag slightly. Surprisingly I was the only one with a nasty wound. But I gasp when I see my armor. "Iornhide." I said getting his attention. He gasped. "Ratchet!" He yells. Optimus and Ratchet look at Hide then me. Ratchet swoops me up and runs to medbay. "I thought I told you not to get yourself killed!" He yelled angrily. "Yea well guess what I'm Still Alive!!" I shout back. I  grab the wound. Optimus was hot on our tail to keep everyone out. My eyes get blurry. "Don't close your eyes." He softly spoke. I glare at him. "Would you stop worrying. I'm not going to..." Dang it I passed out! I wake up again in medbay and boy do I feel like scrap. I look around and find hide sleeping in the bed next to me. "You had me little one." Optimus spoke scaring me. "H..How long have I be out? I asked. He sits next to me. "About four hours. Every one else is asleep." He explains. I nod. "You fought hard today little one. I apologize I couldn't protect you." He sadly adds. I sit up slowly. "No." I snap. Surprising him "It's not your fault. I joined this knowing fully well what could happen. That's the last thing I want to hear. I don't want no apologies. I don't want to ever die and know someone was blaming themselves because of me!' I sobbed out. Optimus gets off the bed and transforms and his...Holoform steps out and walks over to me collecting me in a tight hug. "I am sorry. I know it wasn't my fault. I won't ever blame myself again. I promise." He soothed. I hug him back "Thank you." I said more calm. But regardless I was still crying. "What's bothering you." He asked. "I yelled at Ratchet before I passed out. He must be very angry. I understand if he doesn't like me anymore." I explained Optimus grabs my face into his hands. "He's not mad. Child what have you gone throw to think he would abandon his own sparkling." He sternly asked. I flinch hard afraid. "You'll hate me to if I told you! You and the bots would throw us all out because of what I kept from everyone. You'll.." Optimus puts a finger to my mouth. "You don't have to worry about that Rain. I would not ever allow my daughter to get exiled into the night. I wouldn't allow that  on anyone. People make mistakes Rain. It's apart of the past. We can forgive you for it. Just tell me what is hurting you." He orders. My battle scars have Opened. "The people I lived with before I met hide are KSI Scientist. My fake adopted parents. I lived in fear all my life. Faking everything. I was one of there stupid experiments!" I shout. Optimus looks at me shocked. I sobb slightly. "I was supposed to be your demise! I was made to kill you and all Autobots and con alike. before I was even born they injected me with energon of every kind!  When I was born I had been almost taken apart and stitched back together. I was abused. I had to train countless hours and days without food water or rest!" I sobbed louder. "when I was five. I was forced to kill an Autobot! With my cold evil hands!" I sobbed and sobbed. Optimus's eyes looked furious. "See I told you you'd throw me out!" I shout. Optimus looks at me and hugs me lovingly? I flinch. "Rain you had no choice of your past. Every thing you did was because of them. I can't believe KSI and this planet would stoop so low to experiment on there own young. I promise you will never have to go throw that pain alone anymore." He whispered rubbing my head. "But I killed one of you." I quietly spoke. "Not by your choice Rain. They made you. That Autobot would not have held you accountable for it. We Autobots are not ever allow to strike a sparkling." He spoke. "Ultra Magnus." I choked out. He looked at me. "His name was Ultra Magnus." I finish clearly. He pulls back. "He would have forgiven you that day. He was the most strongest bots to fight with me. Not once have I seen him take his rage out on something a youngling did. He forgave you." Optimus. Tears stung as I  was held in his arms falling asleep moments later.
