A couple of hours later the team landed down on earth but much to their surprise they were surrounded on gun soldiers.

Soldier: Stop in the name of gun.

Shadow pulled sonic behind him to protect him.

Soldier: Shadow the Hedgehog, you are under arrest. Sonic the hedgehog the commander is not happy with you.

Sonic: Well tell your commander this. Because of gun I taken away from my family. You made my life a living hell. You have lied to me about my family. My whole life as been nothing but a lie. Who I am is a lie. From now on I'm not one of you soldiers because I quit.

Soldier: fire!

Guns have banged. Everyone dodges the bullets. Knuckles punched the soldiers with his strength. Amy banged them with her hammer. Tails and Cream slapped them with their ears and Tails. Shadow used his chaos energy and sonic used his speed. There was one who slipped and went behind shadow preparing to shoot him but Sonic saw it coming so sonic went behind shadow and took the bullet. Shadow looked behind him and his eyes widened with horror. Sonic got shot like how Maria did. Shadow got so angry that his body glowed with energy.

Shadow: everybody duck.

Shadow did a Chaos blast. The heros ducked just in time whole the gun soldiers were blown away by the blast. When everything died down, Shadow ran to sonic and checked on him. Luckily sonic is still alive but he needs help. Shadow chaos controlled to the nearest hospital where the doctors took sonic away. As far the commander and the corporated soldiers were arrested for murder and abuse. The president retired sonic from the organization. The citizens were overjoyed with excitement. Shadow was happy too but is still worried about his brother. Just then the heroes went in.

Amy: how's sonic doing?

Shadow: I'm not sure. They haven't said anything yet.

cream: I hope he's okay

Knuckles: Sonic's strong and tough. I'm sure he'll be okay

Tails: he's right. We're here if you need us.

Shadow: Thank you.

Doctor: Shadow the Hedgehog.

Shadow: Yes

Sonic: He's very luck that you got here in time. We managed to get the bullet out but he's very weak. He needs to be here for a while.

Shadow: can we see him?

Doctor: yes you can. He's in room 612

Shadow: Thank you.

Shadow and the gang walked down the hall until he found the room they were looking for. Shadow opened that door and see sonic on the bed looking frail. Shadow felt guilt as he walked towards Sonic.

Shadow: Hey how are you feeling?

Sonic: fine but weak. How about you?

Shadow: im Alright but why did you save me.

Sonic: I couldn't let my brother get hurt.

Shadow: [tears falling] you really finally believe me.

Sonic: I do. Again I sorry I was such a jerk.[ turns to the gang] I thank you for making me open my eyes.

Rouge: it's not problem hun.

Sonic: What's going to happen to me now.

Shadow: Hey its okay. The commander ad gun have been arrested and the president gave you a retirement. And also I may need to get you a therapist for your trauma and anger.

Sonic: I'll need it. Thank you big brother.

Shadow: your welcome little brother

Sonic: and thank you...my friends.
