Not so okay part 3:
abuse, kidnapping, mentioned panic attack, SA, more SA talk than others).
A week had passed and Camilo had grown extremely attached to his father and mother. Camilo continued to act like a small child which although extremely adorable was concerning. Camilo's ability to walk wasn't improving and the boy hadn't said a sing word about what the man had done to him.
The injuries that Camilo had when he first re-entered the walls of the Encanto showed that the poor boy had been abused in a generally physical manner but his actions as well as the reason the man was kicked out in the first place indicated that he was most likely sexually assaulted as well.
Camilo had nightmares every time he fell asleep so Pepa and Félix were now growing accustomed to having their son sandwiched between them every night.
Camilo now only left his room if Isabela and Lusia weren't there, there was an incident where Isabela had dropped a plate smashing it into pieces.
The loud sound had caused Camilo to have a panic attack and now he was scared of the forced perfectionist, as for Luisa she was a person who usually spoke loudly which made Camilo scared for the same reason the plate had he hated loud sounds.
Dolores had grown accustomed to ignoring her little brother, she didn't really want to but she couldn't be around him knowing what he'd gone through, what she couldn't save him from and to make matters worst for her, her gift forced her to listen to her baby brothers cries from the room next to hers.
Due to his lack of sleep during the night the curly-haired shape-shifter often napped through hours of the day, sadly the nightmares and flashbacks plagued him even them.
Félix and Pepa were in Camilo's room sort of doing their own thing as their son slept on the bed situated on the other side of the room, until the boy started thrashing about in his sleep screaming.
"Awake up, Mì amorė" Pepa yelled, waking Camilo up who immediately sobbed into her chest.
"What was it about this time?"Félix asked really hoping Camilo would explain.
"The bad man, they're all about him?"Camilo admitted.
"What did he do sweetie?" Pepa asked as he husband sat next to the m on the bed.
"Mostly hitting and kicking me, that's what it started off as but he got bored after a while and forced me to shift into a girl so he could t-touch me" Camilo stuttered crying into his father's arms.
"Don't worry son, he'll never go near you again, you're safe now" Félix promised, running his hand through Camilo's hair.
Camilo nodded in understanding before curling in on himself.
"I couldn't stop it, I even tried to turn into Luisa so I'd be strong enough to stop it".
Pepa and Félix were absolutely heartbroken hearing about what had happened to their son, but they weren't the only ones who heard it.
Whereas after Camilo's confirmation about what happened the three had each other,
Dolores was laid on her bed tears rolling down her face a part of her wanted to get up and go to the room next to her own and be with her family but she didn't want to intrude.
"Why are you crying, are you okay?" a soft and concerned voice spoke from Dolores's doorway. Dolores couldn't find it in herself to explain why she was crying instead she just stayed still sobbing, ignoring the man in her doorway.
"Antonio wanted to see if you'd play hide and seek with us but you've clearly got other stuff on your mind" Bruno noted walking up to his crying niece.
"I know that what's going on with your brother is a difficult situation but I want you to know I'm here if you need me" Bruno explained with a lop-sided grin before leaving.
"Sorry kiddo, your sister's busy". Dolores heard from outside her door.
Camilo ended up falling asleep again, trapping Pepa under him.
"I'm going to go get us some lunch," Félix said before leaving the room.
"Mamì" Camilo whispered.
"Sì, what's up amorė, I thought you were asleep" Pepa whispered back.
"Was it my fault, what happened I mean that man could have taken anyone and he took me, said my gift was given to me for a reason and that no one would miss me because people don't really like me for me that's why I'm always shifting into other people" Camilo resided the man's words, and Pepa thought her heart was broken before.
"What happened to you was not your fault not at all and of course, we missed you Cami you're our sunshine, my son and I love you, everyone does" Pepa promised.
"Mamì, can I have hero please" Camilo begged, pointing at the stuffed chameleon on the floor, reverting back to the adorable childish state he'd been in since he got back.
"Yes, Cami" Pepa sighed.
"You know your safe here yes" Pepa decided to check.
"Sì, Papì will keep us safe" Camilo smiled rubbing his face in his stuffie.
It made sense now the reason that Camilo had attached himself to Félix was that he knew that his father would keep him safe and he was right that Félix would kill and die for his children, for his family.
Hello, mentally unstable tacos, this is planned to be the final part of the not-so-okay one-shot or I guess three shot, but I am not against part 4.
I've written a list of future plots so I'm not entirely lost at what to write like I usually am. I've read quite a lot of one-shot books and often come across age regression ones but am not sure if to include it since I don't know much about it so if you have an opinion (that's not rude against people who are well versed in the subject) I'd like to hear it (:
