Soon manik brought his girlfriend home and proposed marriage in front of everyone and soon the wedding preparation began....By now nandini had accepted that it was one sided love and decided to take part in her best friend wedding....
It was decided that mehendi and started haldi would be kept on same day followed by sangeet and marriage the held day after tomorrow.
The mehendi was done and all teased Ruhi (manik bride name) that her mehendi had the deepest colour of res indicating the dept of love manik had for her.....nandini's heart bleed seeing this....as she thought that she was such a fool to even think that he would ever love her....what was there in her to love...she was childish , had no goal in life and mainly she thought that she didn't had it in her to attract a man love and desire.....unknowingly she was losing her self confidence.
As this was not enough she witnessed something that she could never ever wanted to see....the thing was they had just finished haldi cermony and all had retired to their rooms exhausted and she also wanted to go to her room and give rest to her aching heart but thought of enquiring if manik needed something and that was her biggest mistake....as soon as she entered her room without knocking (as it was her habit to enter his room without any hesitation) she suddenly heard some sound coming near his bed....to only see that Ruhi was naked and manik was applying haldi to her naked body while he roamed his hands on her breast and made love to her....
Nandini was shocked but she ran away without making any sound....she ran to her room and cried her heart out....she cried....cried and cried....that suddenly she felt her palms getting cold and she was shaking....she knew it was an on set of a panic attack....
She always was a neglected child...her parents never cared for her....they thought that by giving luxury, money and good education was enough and so they were always busy in business...nandu was disappointed with her family from childhood...they were never there for her not on her birthdays, sport meet, to celebrate her success....never...slowly as she grew up she accepted the fact that her parents didn't love her....and honestly she didn't care because there was one person in her life who took care of her and played all the roles in her life from being a parent to a mentor to her best friend.....her Manik.....she never needed anyone other than him...
But today seeing him going far away had made her so weak and vulnerable...she started feeling that she was an orphan again and it was killing her inside....she somehow managed to control herself and slept off on the floor crying her heart out....
She woke up and got ready for sangeet as she didn't want anybody to see her vulnerable condition...not that anyone cared but she knew that she had to be strong for him...bcz no matter what she knew that manik loved her as a friend and would not like it if she was upset on his important day...she didn't want to upset him.....bcz this we her.....her world started with manik and ended on him...everything just revolved around him....she just didn't knew how to live without him...but she had to....her destiny always snatched away people she loved and there was nothing she could do.
Soon the sangeet started....nandu was trying to gain courage to go in front of everyone with a smile but no matter what...tears rolled down her eyes....
As this was not enough suddenly a male hand encircled her bare waist firmly and started roaming his hand all over her naked waist....she didn't have to turn to know who it was other than one person......KABIR....
Kabir was the son of her parents best friends....since childhood he had free access to her house....
Kabir was borderline obsessed with nandini....he just wanted to claim her body and make her his by hook or by crook ....from childhood he never left a chance to flirt with nandu or get intimate with her as he knew that he was loved by everyone in the family and to top it all he was best friend of manik (manik didn't knew about kabir evil intention on nandu as she never told him the truth in fear that it would break his heart after knowing the truth about his best friend)
Kabir "you are looking sexy as always nandu....I just want to rip your dress and claim in you in front of everyone" and smirked....
Nandu felt disgusted....she usually took a stand for herself and push kabir away but today was different....her heart and soul had broken in the worst possible way....today even if kabir claimed her body...she would not stop him as she was too numb and blank to feel any emotion....
Out of the blue kabir pulled nandu on the dance floor and started dancing with her while occasionally touching her without her consent....

As the dance got over...manik saw the closeness between kabir and nandu and he suddenly started feeling jealous....he himself didn't know what he was doing....he was about to get married to the love of his life but then why was he feeling uncomfortable seeing nandu and kabir....
What he didn't know was that he was confused .....he had named friendship as love and had made his love as friendship...for which he had to pay a price for lifetime.
