The beeping of the machine insider the room alarmed them. Leni, who was still half awake & sitting on monoblock beside the bed, started to look up and saw her squirming in the hospital bed. It alarmed them, including Rody who is just inches away from her bed.

"Rody! Bakit nakatulala ka lang d'yan? Tumawag ka na ng doctor at nurse!" she said with her voice a bit raised than normal, hinting that she's already panicking from the scene that they are witnessing.

"Lumaban ka ha? Hindi namin kaya ng Papa mo kapag nawala ka. Kayo lang ang mundo namin." she said while her voice is a bit shaking, holding her right hand firmly, then she realized that she's already crying.

Rody, despite being stunned from what he just saw, immediately walked out of the room and called the attention of all the nurses and doctor to seek for help.

As the doctor ran towards her room, Rody allowed himself to sit at the bench outside of the room, waiting for Gail to arrive.

"Oh, Papa! Bakit andito ka sa labas ng kwarto? Where's mama? Saka.. wait, is there something going on?" she asked while holding some of their bags which she got from their home as she knew that they will stay at the hospital for a bit long to further monitor her.

Hearing all of those questions, he just stared at her daughter without even responding to any of those. Gail noticed that her dad is already shedding some tears and without waiting whether or not his dad will still response to her questions, she went inside the room and check on her and Leni. But with her surprise, she just saw some nurses and a doctor in front of the bed.

Gail attempted to run on the bedside but one of the nurse stopped her. "Ma'am sorry po hindi po kayo pwedeng makalapit muna. Samahan niyo po muna si Ma'am Leni doon sa couch sa tabi." the nurse calmly told her but she's too eager to look and check her.

"What? I can see in my own eyes what's happening na oh! Please. Just let me stay by her side." she pleaded while crying at the nurse.

After a few seconds of trying to do some chest compressions and checking her vitals. All of them inside the room heard beep in the machine and upon looking at it they saw the most heartbreaking thing.

It already flatlined.

Leni approached Gail as she saw her daughter dropped on the ground, near the her bed. then they suddenly felt like their worlds collapsed.
