It is inevitable for different public figures and politicians to talk about the filling of the Certificate of Candidacy which will happen this coming October, for the upcoming 2022 Elections.

While Rodrigo Duterte is still the incumbent Mayor of Davao City, it got him thinking that the time will come and he needs to retire and rest from the stressful and dirty world of politics. He's not getting any younger by the way. Hence, he thinks that his wife, Leni Gerona Duterte must be the one whom the limelight must focus on.

It is business as usual at the Davao City hall because all of the staff and employees just got back to their work after a very long and worthwhile Christmas vacation. Thankfully, their understanding Mayor gave them an early break for them to spend more time with their families, as well as him.

Rodrigo is about to enter his office to start his very stressful yet fulfilling job, when suddenly he heard some familiar footsteps and smelled a cherry vanilla sweet scent, he immediately knew who it is.

"Hi, bub! Good morning!" His wife then approached him and hugged him tightly, kissed his cheeks from where he was standing in front of his office at the Municipal Hall. It startled him at first.

"Anong problema? Clingy mo ata ang aga pa huy. Ay hulaan ko!" he said. Leni left puzzled and confused for a minute then she uttered, "Ano na naman ba 'yan, Rodrigo? Kung sasabihin mo na kaya ako ganito kasi baka buntis na naman ako, ay aba tumigil ka d'yan! Masasapok kita, tamo!" she said it while raising her eyebrows as if she will start another silly argument with his lovely husband but he just laughed about it, even though at the back of his mind, he love the idea of her getting pregnant again.

"Ito naman joke lang eh," he pulled her inside his office and closed the door, hugged her from behind while intertwining his hands with hers, then he suddenly asked, "Seriously, what's this early visit? I thought mamayang hapon ka pa kasi isasabay mo sila Lia at Gail sa pag-punta mo dito?"

"Ah.. I bet I cannot make it that early, love eh. Babalik kasi muna ako saglit sa OVP para asikasuhin yung gusto mag-donate sa Community Learning Hub na ipapalagay ko sa may Tondo," she said with a disappointed tone. "But don't worry, papatuluyin ko pa rin yung mga bata dito para sunduin ka then I'll try my very best para humabol sa dinner mamaya, hmm?" she continued while withdrawing from his back hug, then immediately reaching out for his hand again. He smiled and gave her a peck on the lips.

"Bub, you haven't answered my question yet, baka nakakalimutan mo." he suddenly said. "Oh! Haha sorry, I almost forgot. I brought you some tocilog, caesar salad, and hot brewed coffee. Gawa ko 'yan!" she happily responded and looked at her husband's reaction. He just smiled and gazed into her eyes deeply saying, "You really know what will make my heart flutter ano? Ang tanda ko na kinikilig pa rin ako sa mga paganto mo gaging ka." he said while peeking at the food that she prepared. "At talagang alam mo anong klaseng breakfast ang gusto ko ano?" he continued while pinching her nose which made her blush, but she punched him in his chest then said, "Sus tigilan mo ako, Rody ha! Kaya kita dinalhan niyan kasi nakita ka ni Lia kanina, hindi ka na naman daw nag almusal bago pumasok."

How lucky am I to be blessed with this woman? he said at the of his mind.

"Sige na, baka inaantay ka na ng staff mo sa opisina niyo. Message or call me when you arrived there ha? I'll also keep you posted throughout the day." he said before hugging his wife once more like there's no tomorrow. After withdrawing from the hug, he gave his last kiss on her lips which lasted for about a few seconds and made her giggle.
