[tw// death, trauma, grief.]
For as long as Julietta could remember, she never knew where home was. Although she knew nothing but the town that she had been damned to for the whole 17 years of her life, she felt like a stranger who was stuck, driving through the same roads to get to her destination.
It sounds so awkward, doesn't it? Like how could a person be a stranger to a place they know better than the back of their hand?
Well, that was how Julietta felt about living in the small, quaint town of Rye. The outdated travel magazines might paint this town to be a historically magnificent place, but they don't fool anyone because there is nothing in this town but cobblestone valleys. If you're a fan of boring, old buildings or Harry Potter, then you'd probably love it.
However, for a girl that has lived here all her life, this town held too much sadness and grief for her small body to even be able to handle. The thought of being reminded of her father's harrowing screams being the last thing she can remember about him haunted her forever.
It was after that night when Julietta truly and utterly felt alone. She became an orphan; a stranger after that night.
To Julietta, Rye was nothing but a nightmare that never went away. She used to say that as soon as she turned 18 - she would leave this place to go as far away as possible and start a new life of her own.
'Used to?'
Yeah. Used to.
That was before she found somewhere she could truly call home. Or should I say, someone.
