ANGELO
It was as if time had frozen and the background had become a blurry mess with me holding the young girl's wrist. Her wrists were so small and dainty, and she looked especially small in the oversized tee that went down to her thighs. She looked so beautiful in my attire.
I wish that I could stay in this moment forever, staring deeply into the young girl's eyes. My eyes slowly drifted to her whole face eyeing her lips to her hair.
However, I realised that the girl was staring back at me in shock and confusion. I could tell that she recognised who I was which was a relief for me; knowing that her memory was still intact and the events of last night had not caused her any trauma of the sorts.
I could see that her cheeks were tear stained and her eyes seemed strained. My intentions were not to frighten her. I wanted nothing but to protect her.
"Please let me go." She began to hyperventilate.
"Shh. Listen to me. I am not going to hurt you. I will let you go but don't run, okay?" I interrupted her with a low voice and stroked her wrist in an attempt to comfort her.
"Okay", she whispered.
"I mean it." I warned before I let go of her wrist.
Surprisingly, she listened and stayed put while still staring at me.
"Good girl." I responded to her obedience with a smirk.
I knew exactly what I was doing.
JULIETTA
Run.
I wanted so badly to get away and go back home to her bed and books but for some odd reason my body did not allow me to move. I was stuck and frozen looking into the deep hazel eyes of this mystery man.
The way he spoke was so comforting to me even though he was so much bigger than her. I found peace in his eyes.
I caught myself thinking such absurd thoughts when I was so sure this was a hostage situation.
