It was at least a week later, Edge was still thinking how to respond. Rose felt like Edge only said that to wait until they both forgot about it. But Edge would never do something like that to Rose, he loves him too much.
Right?

Rose woke up alone this morning. He sighed and got on his phone, he had nothing else to do that day.
Meanwhile, Edge was at work. He was very busy, that was until one of his buddies, Hugo, noticed? Edge wasn't really focused. "Edge, sir." Hugo said as he gently tapped his shoulder with his big bear paw. "Hmm!-" Edge looked at Hugo, startled. "Oh, it's just you-" Edge sighed. "Are you okay sir? You haven't been very... Focused..." The huge polar bear looked at Edge, worried. "Y-Yeah... I'm fine Hugo." Edge mumbled a little. "You don't seem alright. Hmmm... Come with me, we're gonna have a chat..." Hugo smiled as he began to walk, Edge grumbled and followed. Hugo was basically the Edge's therapist, the two made it to Hugo's office and sat down across from each other. "So, tell me what's on your mind this time Edge.."

Edge took a deep breath, "Rose asked me if I would like to start a family with him..." Hugo nodded, "I see..." Hugo messed with his glasses. "You know I have three cubs at home? Edge looked at Hugo. "Your a father Hugo?" He asked. "Mhm, being a father was the best thing that has ever happend to me. Things have struggled slightly when Elin... Passed... But thing's are much better now." Hugo smiled a little. "Oh... Sorry for your loss Hugo..." Edge felt bad. "No no, don't be. She... She had an affair... But enough of that-" Hugo tried to change the topic, he coughed a little. "Ahem-... Sorry... But you might enjoy being a father, it's not easy... But you'll get used to it. And you'll pry no longer have all of those 'back pains' you keep complaining about-" Hugo chuckled. Edge blushed from embarrassment, "Wh-What does that mean?! Hugo!-" he grumbled but quickly cooled down. "Ahem, do you have advice for being a father Hugo?" Hugo's laughing piped down, "No, not much. But, just remember to love your child, not matter what they've done. Unless if it's something very bad... Such as necrophilia. But I'm pretty sure that you and Rose will take them down the right path..." Hugo smiled. Edge sighed, "Thank you. I think I've finally made up my mind..." Edge and Hugo said their good-byes and Edge went home.
