"Thank you again Tsukauchi. I'm glad the questioning went smoothly" Nezu stated, as they walked out of Krish's room, the morning sunlight slightly compromising their vision, along with the faint chirps of the birds outside filling their ears.

"Well you practiced the questions with him, so I'm not surprised. So, what are your plans with him? I half expected him to be coming back with me" Tsukauchi replied, eliciting a look of distress from Nezu.

"Do you plan to arrest him for his part in the theft? I already told him he had immunity. I wonder how he'd react when being told that his freedom is being taken away. I'm sure you'd have nothing to fear, despite seeing what he did to that Nomu." Nezu stated, his tone cold, and frightening.

"So, that's how it is? Look I can pardon him for the USJ, but it's obvious he's committed crimes in the past, he might have even murdered people before. For all we know, he's a killer. I mean, a week and a half ago, there were reports of four or five gang members being vaporised. Sounds a lot like the kind of power Krish used on the Nomu. I don't like throwing kids in jail, it pains me to see him like this... but... I can't protect him if the rest of the police force finds something out" Tsukauchi replied, trying his best to maintain his composure.

"Then the situation will be the same. Right now, he's in our care. And that means you'll have to get other heroes to help out. And other than the top heroes, no one stands a chance against his raw power. Not to mention that we'll do everything we can to protect him, which means you'll have to go against All Might, and the rest of the faculty. If the police force and the country's No.1 hero school had an internal conflict, imagine how quickly the press would eat that up. All of that discourse right after the USJ attack? You'd be causing a national incident that could end up affecting the hero commission itself." Nezu replied, fighting back, intent on not losing Krish.

"So that's it? Mutually assured destruction. That's what you're going to use to keep him safe?" Tsukauchi asked, now under pressure.

"It works, for now. And besides, he's most likely a minor, and people accidentally killed people when quirks first originated. And all of this is based on a wild hunch that he's committed more crimes, and that he's murdered people, and that he wasn't under duress. All of that is a lot of speculation and a lot of conjecture." Nezu stated, reaching the end of the hallway.

"Fine. I'll make sure to grant him immunity for any crimes we might uncover. I have to say, I didn't think you'd be this adamant about protecting him. Why? What's so special about him?" Tsukauchi asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.

Taking a second to ponder, Nezu took a deep breath, before replying, "The League of Villains, and all of those petty street criminals. They were all let down by society in one way or another. We used to talk about a wealth divide, the internet divide, all of these things. But quirks have divided us more than ever. If you're not taught how to use them properly, then that one misfortune could end up affecting tens to hundreds of people. As a hero and as a teacher, it's my responsibility to make sure that kind of fate doesn't affect the young generation of future heroes. Krish could go on to save far more lives than even I could imagine. That's why I want to protect him and keep him here."

Tsukauchi was stunned. He didn't think about the wider implications of Krish's future. What could happen if he was or wasn't saved, or the vast amount of people just like him.

"Fair enough. Well then, if there's nothing else you need, I'll be going to the station" Tsukauchi said, dropping the slight hostility

"Wait. There is one more thing I need from you. Can you find out Krish's information? Name, age, etcetera." Nezu asked, stopping the police officer as he was walking out of the door.
