Y/N POV

I stood back with a grin, admiring my devil's trap, Dean lightly slapped my back and chuckled when I grinned at him.

"Well, how about we ring the dinner bell?" Dean said, his face grim

I hurried over to his side, gun behind me on the table and waited for whatever was coming. Bobby stood with his arms crossed, looking annoyed, Dean was chewing on his thumb nail and I was tapping my foot. He only stopped chewing when I slapped his hand away from his mouth, making him grunt at me.

"Is it just me or is this taking forever?" I whispered to Dean

"So it's not just me, ok I thought I was just being impatient," I snickered

"Think we'll be ok?" I asked him

"As long as we stick together, I think we can get through anything," he chuckled

"Sam's up to something," I told him

"I know," he nodded

"Bobby, are you sure you did it right?" Dean asked

Bobby stood up straight and glared at him.

"Well sorry. Touchy touchy huh," he nudged me

Before I could answer back, the roof of the barn started to rattle, seeming like it was gonna fly off and suck us out of the room. We armed ourselves when the doors started to rattle.

"Maybe it's wishful thinking, but maybe it's the wind," Dean suggested

We didn't have to wait long to find out. The barn doors blew open, a man stepping inside. The lights were busting and sending sparks as he walked under each on, us firing rounds at him and him not even flinching.

We panted as he stopped in from of us and analyzed us all, his eyes lingering on mine longer than other's.

"Hello Dean," his voice was rough, like he had been smoking for 20 years but still nice

"Who are you?" Dean demanded

"I'm the one who gripped you tight and raised your from perdition," the man was proud of that

" Well, thanks," Dean snarled before shoving the demon knife into his heart

You could hear a pin drop as we watched on. There was no orange flash, no screaming, no smoking out, nothing. He was calm as he pulled the knife from his chest and threw it to the floor, annoyance clear in his eyes. Bobby snuck up behind him, raising the pipe to knock him out, only for him to spin around grab the pipe and put his fingers to Bobby's forehead. I gasped when Bobby's eyes rolled into the back of his head and he fell to the floor.

"We need to talk Dean," his voice was serious

Dean dragged me behind him, moving towards Bobby while we kept an eye on the stranger. He ignored us and picked up a book, flipping through it. Dean made me stand at his side where he could see me and felt for a pulse on Bobby.

"He'll live," the stranger kept flipping through the book before he seemed to get bored and looked at me

For the first time since he walked in, his face shower some emotion, his eyes weren't scared like the others. They turned warm and what looked like a smile played at his lips, he cocked his head to the side and observed me. Not like he was checking me out but more checking for injuries.

"Have you been injured?" His voice was soft

"Don't talk to her," Dean jumped up

"Dean, he hasn't even tried to hurt us," my voice was quite

"And I won't, especially her. She's just as important as you are," the man nodded

"Who are you?" Dean snapped

"Castiel," he said like it was obvious

"I got that, I meant what are you,"

"I'm an angel of the lord," he was firm in this and maybe in my opinion, slightly delusional

I stepped closer to Deans back, making him reach his arm around and grip my wrist, in case he needed to move me quickly. I watched from over his shoulder.

"There's no such thing," Dean stated

"See, unlike your sister, you have no faith,"

Lighting flashed in through the room, making us both jump and me gasp when a shadow of large wings flashed with it, almost touching the roof with how large they were.

"You are an angel," I stepped around Dean and smacked his hand when he reached for me

Castiel smiled and took a step closer to me, towering over me, making me stretch my neck back to look at him.

"If you're so holy, why'd you burn that poor woman's eyes out?" Dean snapped, finally yanking me back

"I told her to turn back, that it wasn't safe to see my true form. You should know this when I tried to speak with you,"

"So the high pitched ringing, that was you?" I questioned

"Dude, next time, lower the volume," Dean scoffed

"I'm sorry, I figured with who you both are, if anyone could receive my message, it would be one of you two," he apologized

"If seeing your true form can literally set someone's eyes on fire, how can we look at you now?" I asked

"This is a vessel," he yanked at the trench coat he was wearing and shrugged at me

"You're possessing some poor bastard?" Dean accused

"He prayed for his, he's a devot man," he defended himself

"More like holy tax accountant," Dean mumbled to me, making me snicker

Castiel heard my snicker, his already light blue eyes, lighting up even more. I swear I heard a flutter when I blushed and looked away.

"Quit making heart eyes at my sister," Dean snarled

"So if you're an angel, does that mean there's a God?" I asked enthusiastically

"There's a God," he confirmed

"HA, I told you," I spun to Dean with a triumphant smile on my face

"Whatever, why did you save me?" Dean asked, anger on his face

While still facing Dean, I felt Castiel step closer, almost touching my back with his chest.

"Because God commanded it. Because we have work for you,"

"And my sister?" Dean looked nervous

"Her part in everything will come to light soon,"

Dean made eye contact with me as we heard a flap of wings and felt a gust of air.

Castiel was gone.

And we were left with more questions than answers.
