Chapter Three: Smother The Dark With Flames and Light (Final)

Hushed voices spoke down the stairs as Erza plopped Natsu down in a chair, whacking him upside the head hard enough that his face could have hit the table.

Erza was furious at the Salamander, especially how much carnage he left behind with the obvious burning rage, "What the hell Natsu! Have you lost your freaking mind?!"

Natsu stayed silent as he was being shouted out, no words can describe how angry he was at that moment; he spilt blood to the point of almost no survivors, and yet he enjoyed it too. But he also knew if Erza was serious, he would have been knocked out cold for a few days.

He was left there in the chair as everyone started to go back to their ways, the air less thick than before. Everyone understood how angry he is but this was a slight shock to everyone.

Erza did tell me that Dragon Slayers can be aggressive when... Wait, is Natsu going through a change? Is that why he is aggressive?

Lucy's eyes crossed slightly when she glanced over to Natsu then back up stairs, crossing her arms in thought as she tried to process things. It wasn't really connecting to her as she tried to think of reasons, frowning just a bit as she pinched the bridge of her nose. Lucy shook her head and clapped her hands together, "I'll just go check on (Name)-chan, if she is feeling well."

Lucy walked up the stairs and gracefully knocked on the door, cracking it open to still see (Name) sitting up and looking out the window. Lucy smiled a little, trying to overlook the physical damage done to her close friend, "Hey (Name)-chan... How are you feeling? I hope a little better... Wendy did a really great job in healing up most of the injuries..."

Silence lingered as Lucy walked closer, carefully looking at (Name) as she dawned onto her presence. Lucy couldnt help but smile slightly at Natsu's scarf around her neck, sitting next to her on the bed as said female remained motionless, "...So, Natsu seems really protective of you... He must really value him as a close friend, huh... I'm kinda envious of your relationship with him, its pretty close if i remember right..."

"Nat...su...?" came a small broken voice, the fragility in her tone made it like she was walking on thin ice. Lucy glanced down at her to see her starting to shake a bit, the worry in her eyes tripled with concern as she broke in soft sobs. This side of (Name) was fragile and so scared of everything, it broke her heart to see her like so as they really did manage to break somene so strong as her reduced down to rubble.

Lucy wraped an arm around her, feeling (Name) flinch violently and cry a little harder, biting back tears herself, "He never stopped looking for you, (Name), no one did... every spare time we had went to looking for you. You may be the latest memeber we've gotten but, your heart shined brighter than anything ive ever seen. Even the zodiacs talked about how kind you are to them when i summon them, all greeting them with a giant warm smile and a laugh louder than anything else."

Every... Everyone... everyone was looking for me?

"I swear... Natsu stayed up all through the night possibly looking for you. Heck, he probably even checked your house for any signs and clues..." Lucy continued, giving a small smile, "You remeber the day when you gave everyone a charm with the guild logo on it? You probably stayed up for hours past normal time, you always came in sleepy and tired but you never stopped moving."

I remember... Everyone smiled so wide that day... It made my heart swell to see them smile so wide and say thank you... They admired my work... Everyone was beaming with pride and joy...

(Name) broke out into sobs that it made Lucy jump a bit, tears streaming down her face as her cheeks were so rosy. Lucy just watched her cry and cry on end, smiling softly as she glanced back over to the door. Erza stood there with a raised eyebrow as Wendy peaked off around her, Happy was there too. Lucy laughed a little with a small smile as (Name) kept sobbing, rubbing the top of her head like a mother would to their child, "I dont think i got to say this to you but... Welcome home (Name), we missed you."
