chapter 3

I wake up to the sound of dabi telling me to get out of bed. “Hey y/n get out of bed now” I had completely forgot that I was kidnapped “ok, ok just give me some time to wake up can you leave please” as I said that he just glared at me “you can’t tell me to leave my own room plus I need to keep and eye on you remember” he says I lay back down from sitting up on the bed and sigh “what is your quirk” those words made me shoot back up “your telling me you kidnapped me without knowing my quirk” I answer his question “my boss knows it, I just want to know what I have sleeping in my room.” he says “fine ill answer your stupid question only if you tell me your quirk as well” i say glaring at him “fine and I’m assuming that you want me to tell you first” he says “yes your right i want you to go first so what’s your quirk” I reply “my quirk is a blue flame known as cremation” he says while holding his hand up and a blue flame covers it. “Now you, what's your quirk?” he questions “my quirk is mind control” i reply not saying anything about my other quirk in case it might be bad, even though I don’t like my fathers quirk. “Oh really I heard that you had a flame quirk like I do.” I froze at his words “where did you hear that huh.” I finally answered the question still frozen “I heard it from your father” that made me freeze even more than before. “How do you know my father?” I say in fear but try not to show it. “He works with us and comes around often, why are you trembling y/n are you ok?” he says worried “it doesn’t matter, uh do you know if he’s coming today while im showing the league what i can do?” I ask afraid of the answer i might get “yes actually he is coming to see what our new recruit can do, actually he’s the one that is going to be testing you” i jump out of bed at that answer “NO I WILL NOT BE IN THE SAME ROOM OF THAT ABUSER HE’S THE REASON I’M THE PERSON I AM RIGHT NOW.” I yell running around the room grabbing my head, shaking it and punching the walls. “Wait pause, what did you just say?” he questions looking at me and stopping me from running around by grabbing my wrist, i immediately stop and look at him “are you calm” he asks in a soft tone “yea I’m calm… I think” I answer “he cannot be here and test me” I say almost in tears “ok fine i’ll go talk to shigaraki and i’ll test you myself” he says, I could hear the sorrow in his voice “stay in here and do not leave you hear me.” I nodded as he walked out after the door shut. I went to it and tried to listen to what was going on.

Dabi’s point of view

    I walked down the hallway and into the bar “well where is she he’ll be here soon” shigaraki said “yea well about that he can’t come because y/n told me that if he comes and tests her he will abuse her like he did years ago, so I need you to call him and make up an excuse for him not to come” I say as fast as I can “fine but we need to have someone to test her-” I stop him “I will test her I just need to know what to look for in her in order to except her.” he told me what to look for in her as I tested her. When he finished I went back to my room where I hope that she didn’t try to escape. I walk up to my door and hear something on the other side run away from the door.

Ziv’s point of view

    I hear something walk up to the door so I ran back and got ready to attack as the figure walked through the door i lifted my hand and covered it with purple flames, it took me a few seconds to realize who it was, it was dabi I immediately put my hand down and deactivated my quirk “were you just about to burn me” he said “yea i thought you were my father or someone else i didn’t know it was you” I say still lowering my hands to my sides, “so… did you tell him my father can’t test me?” I ask him starting to sit on his bed looking at dabi waiting for him to answer “yeah about that” dabi says I look at him with a cold look in my eyes “please tell me he’s not coming here if he is then I will leave this place and report you to the police, and don’t think I won’t do it either.” I say with an emotionless face “I’m just joking he’s not coming and I will try and make sure he never does when you are here.” he replies I then get a puzzled look on my face and he sees it “what’s on your mind y/n?” he asks “huh…. Oh I was just wondering who would be testing me if my father won’t be?” I questioned. He laughed at me. I looked at him in a serious look that made him shut up “oh you’re serious” he said as he looked at me “yeah i’m serious I want to know who will be testing me!!” I say almost yelling “ok first calm down and second I will be testing you, if you want you can sleep a little longer but at 6:00 you need to be ready for the test.” he says getting off the bed so I can lay back down “where are you going?” I question “well i’m going to watch you till I know you are asleep then I might go to the bar, why” he answers “it’s cold in here” i say trying to cocoon myself in the blankets “you have your own fire quirk use it to warm you up.” he says as he sits on the couch across the room watching me. “Don’t you have a heater in here or do you live in the cold?” I question “I don't live in the cold, I'm just used to a cold room.” He answers , still staring at me from across the room, “Well, do you have a heater or not.” I ask again “yes I do” he answers then goes quiet. There’s a long pause of silence i speak up “well can you get it, its like freezing in here” i ask so that way i have a chance to escape “fine, stay here i have to go find it i haven’t had it out in a while” he says getting up off the couch and leaves the room. Gladly he didn’t take my phone when he knocked me out, as soon as he left i opened the window and jumped out and ran as far as i could before doing anything, as soon as i got out onto the busy street and tried finding a hero any hero was ok to me, when i found one i couldn’t believe who it was. It was none other than my mom “MOM” i ran up to her and we met in a big hug “where have you been i was looking all over for you come on let’s go home” as soon as we got home we walked in and i went to my mom and hugged her again i didn’t tell her about the villains that kidnapped me because i didn’t want her to get hurt all i told her was that i got lost and my phone had died. She believed me and we both went to bed.

Dabi’s point of view

As i walked down the hall to the storage closet to grab the heater i got a bad feeling in my gut but i just brushed it off i grabbed the heater and walked back to my room, as i walked in i looked at the bed it was empty “shit” i say out loud forgetting that my door was open “what’s wrong dabi” i here a girly voice behind me i turn as fast as i can and walk fast to my door blocking the view to my room with my body “nothing toga get away from my room” i say calmly “ok whatever you say” as she walks off i slam my door shut, i turn around and look around my room to see how she escaped then i see the open window straight across from the door i was standing at, i didn’t even think i just ran over and jumped out running to try and catch up to her ‘she couldn’t have gotten that far right’ i think as i kept running, i look for an hour and can’t find her so i give up and go back to the base and prepare to get yelled at by crusty.

Time skip to when he gets back

I walk into the base thinking that everyone was asleep but i was wrong crusty was sitting at the bar waiting for me to walk in the door “where is she” he says with a straight face but i could tell that he was irritated the she got away “i don’t know but i’m not going to sleep till i find her i’ll get her back calm down crusty” i reply walking past him to my room to get prepared to go get her back. I shut and lock my door so that no one will come in my room while im gone because people here don’t respect privacy, after i lock my door i jump out my window and run in the direction of the abandoned building that i knocked y/n out at and retraced my steps from when i first started to follow her, i look around and see a window with a light shining through it i think it’s odd to have a light on at midnight so i investigate and find out i picked the right house ‘wow that was quick’ i thought as i see that i had just found out where y/n lives luckily the window was unlocked i chuckled i knocked on the window and she saw me i quickly put a finger over my mouth signifying her to be quiet i then told her to come over and open the window and she did as i jumped in she was in a fighting stance “ah i wouldn’t do that if i were you y/n”

Y/n’s point of view

I was in my room trying to calm myself down and process what had happened to me when i heard a knock on my window i turn and look to see what made the noise and it was none other than dabi i was about to call for my mom but he put a finger over his mouth then i remembered that they said they would hurt my family so i stayed quiet he signaled for me to open the window so i did as he said he jumped in my room and i got ready to fight “ah i wouldn’t do that if i were you y/n” he says i stand up from my fighting stance “good now you are going to write a note to your mom that you left to live somewhere else and pack your stuff you hear me” he says and i start to feel fear rise inside of me “fine but only if you don’t hurt my mom or any of my other family except my father i could care less about him” i say writing a note for my mom to see when she comes in the morning to wake me up for the day like he said to do, i put the note on my desk and start to pack everything i could “since i have to pack everything could help me pack and carry the stuff” i ask not looking at him or stoping from packing “whatever” he says starting to pack my clothes as i was packing my stuff that was in my nightstand by my bed, including my phone and charger without him seeing me.

Time skip

We finished packing and were about to jump out the window “wait one more thing” i say while running back the my bed “what are you doing” dabi asks i make my bed not answering his question till i was done “making my bed” i answer walking back to the window and picking up my stuff “why” he asks “wow you ask a lot of questions anyway i made my bed because i’m polite and i was raised to clean up after myself plus it’s the least thing i could do since i'm leaving” i answer as i’m jumping out my window dabi jumping out behind me “wow” he says “what” i ask quickly turning around to face him and almost bumping into his chest “nothing” he says walking around me “no what were you thinking” i ask not moving he stops and turns around “i’ve never met anyone like you” with that he turned around and started walking again “well come on” he says and i quickly catch up to walk by his side.
