Chapter 4

Ashley and Shelby both arrived at about the same time. Once they were both at the shop the fun began. The first thing was going down to the pond to get the coyote. After we got that we dropped it off at the compost pile and when back to the shop to prepare for adventures. Or play cards. We decided on going dirt roading. Ashley rode my dad's orange four wheeler, and Tanner and Shelby volunteered to drive the mule that held the cooler. I wasn't  going to bring one but you never know. We headed out once everyone was ready. Me and Jake volunteered to lead the pack.
I went straight to my favorite trail. The old railroad tracks. It's only about 3-4 minutes from my house so Ashley, Jake and I decided to race. We all nodded and took off. I looked back and Tanner who is driving is very confused. When I looked back in front of me I noticed that we were already almost to the trail. I speed up a little to get there faster. I don't ride this trail often even though it's my favorite.

"WE ARE FINALLY HERE!!!!" I yelled.

"It's only been like two minutes," Jake mentioned.

I was about to say something back but my phone dinged, meaning I got a text surprising. Right? It was from Ty, one of my close friends, I almost screamed when I read the two words.

"Call me???"

The first thing I did was showed Ashley and Shelby. They both said to call him. I dialed his number and he picked up on the 2nd ring.

"Hey, what's up Ty?" I said.

"I... um ... actually wanted to ask you something. Are you busy?" He asked.

"That's what was so important that you had to call me?" I said sarcastically.

"No. I have another question actually."

"Okay then what is it?"

"Ummm.....I was wondering if maybe possibly we could go for a trail ride sometime??"

"Yeah!! I'm always up for a ride. But now I have a question for you."

"Sure what is it?"

"Do you think you can keep up?"

"I think the real question is, can you keep up with me?"

"Is that a challenge Mr. Bailey?"

"I believe it is."

"My house. Tomorrow. 9:00 AM."

"I'll be there."

"You better." I said with a smile.

I hung up then turned around expecting my group to be talking amongst themselves. Instead as soon as I turned around Jake and Tanner were listening to my whole conversation.

"Well I was going to tell you all what that was about. But you asses all ready know every freaking word, don't you?" I sarcastically yelled to all of them.

"I, Jake Dailey, one the behalf of all of thy friends am very, very sorry." He tries to apologize.

I just roll my eyes, start the four wheeler and head down the trail.

Around three hours later we arrive back at my house. Ashely and Shelby had to go so me, Jake, and Tanner decided to sit around play cards and talk.

We were all joking around when Jake says something that got all of our attention. "I'm breaking up with Ashley."
