The perfect moment

Chapter 7

The rest of the period before lunch passed by quickly. I picked up my bag as I was about to go out the door to the hallway. Everyone has scrambled away for the canteen but since I'm feeling acrappy from the rose incident, I took my time being all emotional.

I stepped out to find Roena wrapped around Lyndon's arm like she was a leech. She was whining and pouting while Lyndon ruffled her hair. Then I remembered that he also did that to me. For a moment there I felt frozen until Lyndon's gaze lands on me. His eyes widened and tried to push Roena away but wouldn't let go.

Before he could even say a word, I already looked away and headed to the other direction. I went directly to the restroom so that he won't see me.

I sat down beside the sink, both feet up and I rested my chin on it. I can't stop thinking of what I just saw. I didn't know he likes Roena. And being heartbroken really hurts so bad.

I remember every minute I'm with Lyndon. How he smiles at me, look at me, ruffles my hair, and talk with me.

Me and Laury is sitting at the corridor when Lyndon approached us. He stood infront of me and I looked at him and I half smiled. He's holding a box of ferrero chocolate and gave it to me.

"This is for you," he said with his very charming smile. "Oh, thanks." I said to him smiling. "No, don't thank me. It's from my friend, remember yesterday?" That suddenly made me feel my heart broken again. "Ohh.." I just said and looked down immediately.

I looked at him again saying, "Then, just tell him thank you." Laury beside me reached her hand and hold my right hand to comfort me. "Sure.. Amm.. I've gotta go now, bye.." Lyndon said awkwardly. "Bye." I told him. I watched as Lyndon walked away from me and Laury. I miss the past few days being close to him. Now, it's just so awkward talking with him knowing that he doesn't like me back but his friend does.

I kept silent and decided to give Laury the chocolate instead. "Are you sure?" Laury asked me surprised. "This is your favorite chocolate and it's the very first time you refused it." I just grinned at her and I just realized it too and said, "It's fine." Laury opened the box of ferrero. "I know why you don't want to eat this chocolate." She said and raised her two brows. "You don't want to eat these because it's not from Lyndon." She got one chocolate and offered it to me.

I can't take it anymore. I love ferrero and I can't stop myself from getting it. I get it from Laury's hand and I opened and eat it. "Thanks," and then I smiled.

After our last project, I go directly on my locker with Zoe and Ace. As we passed by the hallway to our lockers, we saw Lyndon with Roena.

Lyndon looked awkward and there's a space between them. As Lyndon kept on going away, Roena doesn't stop following him and walk beside him.

"Hey, Lyndon! Don't forget we're going to my place tonight!" Roena said. "Of course, I'm not gonna miss it. See you." Lyndon told Roena.

Roena saw us looking and he kissed Lyndon in his left cheek and left. Lyndon suddenly froze. I faced my locker and pretended that I haven't seen Roena kissed him. But deep inside I'm hurt. I should be the one that's with Lyndon.
