A Dirty Little R Word

Retard

The R-word is a form of hate speech, supposedly steming from the inclusion for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Awareness for an offensive word.

And people take it for face value. Because of who's saying it all.

But, no one stops to think where this word may have come from, or what it actually means. It's association with language, and countless other questions that come to my mind in regards to it's history and etymology.

But I can think of a hundred R words alone that are much more depraved and filthy.

But it's Retard that is dubbed the 'R Word'.

Being called a racist can be one of the most damning things in today's society, among other R words...

Personally, I'm believe in equality. So, if I'm going to hate upon someone for something as their race, why not find something among every racial group to nitpick and hate?

I hate everyone equally.

And my worry went away.

Children are people too after all, why not hate them as well?
