As much as I love sleep I have to get up. I sit up and look around. I look at my phone. 9am, not bad. I push myself off the bed and I go grab jeans and a top. I go have a shower. I wash my hair and body. I yawn and then step out. I look in the mirror and smile. "Today will be a good day" I say to myself in the mirror. I dry myself and then pull on my jeans and a grey t-shirt. I pull on my vans and smile. I grab my purple hairdryer and begin to blow dry my hair. Once I finish I pull it into a messy bun and decide no make up.

I open my door after grabbing my phone and go downstairs. "Stop! I'm trying to make waffles" said mum. "Oh please, just one kiss!" Said dad. "Gavin, one kiss" said mum. I hear them kiss. They always kiss. I step inside and dad smiles at me. "Hi, my princess. Have a good sleep?" Asked dad. I nod. "Yeah, I mean I fell asleep" I said, looking at the orange juice. "Waffles will be ready soon, sit down" said mum. I sit down and look between them. "What's the plan?" I ask. "I have work and your mum is going shopping" said dad. "Oh right, mum can I come?" I ask. "Your 23, you don't need to ask" said mum, laughing.I blush and nod. "Sorry just a habit" I said, wishing I didn't have that habit left over from when I was a teenager. "It's fine. Sadie doesn't ask to go out anywhere. Mind going to get her?" Asked mum. I stand up and go up to her room.

I knock. "Sadie, breakfast is nearly ready" I said, knocking. She opens the door. She's wearing a mini skirt, a crop top and heels. "Sadie, what on earth are you wearing?" I ask. "An outfit. I have a girls day out with the girls" said Sadie. I glance at her outfit. "Wearing that?" I ask. "Just cause your a prude doesn't mean I am. I mean, I lost my virginity at 15, I'm now 18" said Sadie. I sigh and turn. "Just come down for waffles" I said, going downstairs. Me and Sadie use to be close but turns out growing up splits you apart.

Mum hands me a plate and Sadie walks in. Dad tuts. "Sadie Raine Taylor what on earth are you wearing?" Asked dad. "Clothes" said Sadie. Mum sighs. "Sadie, after eating change into something better" said mum. "No. There is nothing wrong with this outfit!" Said Sadie. "Sadie, you look like a common hooker!" Said dad. "Fuck you" said Sadie, turning and leaving. "Gavin!" Said mum. "Fuck. I'm sorry but it's true. I don't know what got into her but that is not Sadie" said dad. I finish and clean up. "Maybe she is going through something? I mean, rebelling against something" I said, grabbing the sweeping brush.

"Mmm maybe" said dad. He finishes and kiss mum goodbye. "Be good" said dad. We nod and he leaves. "I want a love like yours" I said. "You will get it, one day" said mum. I smile and we clean up before we leave. We drive to the shopping centre and park. We go inside and shop in some shops before going for lunch.

"We're having dinner on Friday night with the McGarrys. Your dads personal assistant and her family" said mum. "Ok, I haven't seen Jackie in a long time" I said. "Yeah, they've been busy" said mum. I nod, looking down. Once we finish shopping we head home and unpack everything. Sadie is there in sweatpants and a hoodie. "Where did you go?" Asked Sadie. "Shopping, how was your day?" Asked mum. "Fine. Boring." Said Sadie, looking back at her phone. I sigh and go to my room. I sit on my bed and play with my fingers.

I hear my phone, my best friend Emilia has texted me.

Hey Cassie, how are you? I miss you

Good. I miss you too! How's America and UCLA?

Emilia
Fun and it's fine. Busy, hectic and hard but I love it.

That's great, I can't wait to see you during the summer :)

Oh my god I can't wait. I can't wait for the rain :)

I laugh and go downstairs. "Dads bringing pizza home" said mum. I nod, smiling. We sit down and wait. I yawn and pull at my hair. I pull it out and leave it down. I play with the remote until I hear the door opening.

We settle at the table and eat our pizza. "Sadie, good to see you in normal clothes" said dad. She doesn't answer him. She finishes and leaves. "She'll calm down" said mum. Dad sighs and goes to grab a beer. Dad cleans up before he opens it. I go to my room and pull on pyjama's before sliding into bed to watch Only Murders in the Building season two finale.

At 11, once I finish the second episode of She Hulk, I go to sleep which hits pretty quickly.

First chapter and of course I wanted it to be the best it can be and had to decide some factors out but it's here!
