Klover spoke in short bursts. "Look, I only need you to hand over the money you owe... I don't wanna have to kill you over such a... small inconvenience..."

At those deciding words, the surrounding air finally grew deathly restrictive, and breathless in the meadow.

Klover stood upright as he continued. "The man I ordered you to kill is still alive. Alcibades Marpel should be long gone, the least you can do is relinquish the payment I've offered you, Julius..." The wind blew through his short dark hair as he spoke. His trench coat slightly swaying as well, layered atop his casual clothes.

The morning sky was bright, and almost inspiring; how beautiful it was.

But, Klover was dour, with a face splashed in anguish and dead eyes of which not a single thought could be read. He advanced towards the trembling child, Julius. Blood running down the boys back.

Not long before all this, Klover had been chasing Julius through the "underground" city in Jomsgrills.

Illegal deals, trades, and other immoral acts were constructed in this... 'underground', which had been slowly formed within the country over the years.

A community of criminals.

Finally catching up to the boy, Klover would end up slashing him with his blade; next to nothing held back. Cutting right through his finely tethered jacket.

If not for him being an extra inch away, Julius had've surely died from a cut too deep.

He struggled on the soiled grassland before slowly turning on his back, facing Klover. "I-I-I've–," Julius stammered, his voice quivering and choked with tears.

He tried to speak, to avoid escalation, but his words constantly stumbled over one another. He could barely breathe as he gripped onto his chest after the cut he suffered, let alone explain himself.

"How could you have really... expected me..." His voice grew shakier as he struggled to hold back the blood brewing in his mouth.

"To kill... a man like that?! Julius cried.

"In such a dishonorable manner! Killing... is far too much a burden!"

Klover looks down on the poor child with a cold look, no emotion behind his gaze being portrayed other than what looked to be boredom to put it bluntly.

"Julius, life itself is a burden. But we still live, each and every single day." Klover gripped tighter on his sword's handle.

"A kid like you who probably grew up with everything... probably never even realized that... atleast not until my blade grazed your precious skin. For a man like me, killing is as simple as waking up in the morning."

"Because my father never left behind a life for me worth desiring. How could he have served here and left me and my mother with nothing like this." Klover began speaking in regards to himself as he crouched down to the boys level

"Listen to me closely, you may have been able to fuck over the rest of these other debt collectors, or mercenaries, or whoever else in the underground you've been dealing with all this time, but your lucks run out with me."

"I certainly, do not take stolen royalties lightly."

Klover took a stroll into Julius' gaze, shortly after saying all this before he slowly got up.

Julius had enough courage to look Klover in the eye...

Or maybe it was simply fear that told him avoiding Klovers gaze would mean his sentence.
