Klover looks up at Wesgard in confusion.
"If you killed Richard, that must mean you are stronger than him. Why don't you join us?"
"We would be very lucky to have someone like you on our side, with swordsmanship such as yours."
Wesgard walks in circles as he talks. Klover looks away from Wesgard in frustration.
"C'mon don't be like that! Dayton is an old king, he doesn't deserve his place on the throne! He has barely any men under him that can effectively carry out a job and his empire is hanging on by a thread!"
"He's a damned coward, he set a bounty on a kid for Christ sake! If you work with us you could start over and live the life you really want to live. Under a true king... not the cowardly King Dayton!"
"A life I really want to live huh?"
"So whaddya say, partner?"
Klover hesitates before getting up.
"For real this time no tricks, ok?" Wesgard continues.
Klover chuckles.
"Damn, looks like you got me. I've got a lot of loyalty and respect for Dayton but maybe joining you wouldn't be so bad."
The two shake hands.
"But how will you go about killing Dayton?"
"Well he's old, it'll be simple, all we need to do is gather some troops, take everyone hostage, and take out the king, botta bing, botta boom."
Klover and Wesgard laughed.
"If only it were that simple. I'm startin' to rethink working with you Wes."
"Already onto the nicknames now huh Klov?" Wesgard chuckles.
"But seriously you should rethink your strategy. If we go in and just take everybody, there will be a rebellion. There's been peace here for many years because we've had a stable system in place. The crime here hasn't gone down much but there's a reason Dayton hasn't died yet."
Wesgard scratches his head. "So what should we do?"
"Well the king doesn't have a current successor. As you know already, I work directly under the king and since Richard has died that leaves a perfect spot for me."
"I see." Wesgard nods his head.
"So if I can find a way to get the king killed and take the throne, then I can connect Jomsgrills with your country in the west, he won't see it comin'."
"Also... speaking of your country... it's got a name or what, and who's your king?"
"I'm positive I told you who our king is but I'll try to refresh your memory. George Franchez is the name of Brinsfields king and the name of my brother."
"So your brother is the king of the west?"
"Well sorta, there's two kings, but I consider my brother to be the true ruler."
"Well then, who's the other king?" Klover asks.
Wesgards mood changes severely when he gets to explaining the second king.
"His name is Harold Reverend, he's an arrogant piece of shit who shouldn't be a king of any sort. I despise that son of a bitch."
Klover awkwardly tries to start conversation again.
"So... how exactly does it work? I mean having two kings and all."
Wesgard takes a seat before he continues.
