Brinsfield and Jomsgrills...

An alliance that was built upon, was about to be broken down, and destroyed. Sculpted into a rivalry, by the hand of the selfish King Lucius.

In a world where kingdoms were rising to prominence, working in cahoots with other countries was a factor in growing larger.

Working with others in general, meant potential for your future success.

As the Viking grip on the world waned, and the tactics of kingdoms became more closed off regarding their gain of power, a new era dawned for the Four Khans. They were no longer united in purpose, as the years passed, their countries - North Heilgen, Klougen, Rheticsbring, and Xerxgwen - began to assert their own dominance and establish themselves as powerful, independent kingdoms, unassailable by any who dared to challenge them.

But each of the kingdom's rulers still acknowledged each other. They were well aware that any conflict between their lands would unleash a catastrophic chain of events that would shake the very foundations of the world, causing devastating turmoil and upheaval on a global scale.

Brinsfields king wanted to be a part of this dominance. He wanted a prime vice grip on the world, just as these countries' kings did.

He wanted power... and so approximately 22 years ago... in Year 1045, Lucius's loyal retainers were backing him along the way as they all willingly and actively began breaking apart the trade that King Dayton was able to obtain.

They wanted to create a new age for the world too. They had plans of conquering the entire globe with their indubitable power. In the king's eyes, there was nothing that could stop him...

After the war subsided, a peace treaty was reached between the two kings. Dayton imposed strict restrictions on travel in and out of Jomsgrills. The island's isolation made it easy to control sea travel and prevent most common peoples from leaving or entering.

As the years passed, the thought of traveling to or from Jomsgrills became nothing but a distant memory. The once vibrant island, full of promise, was now nothing more than a forgotten and desolate place, a constant reminder of what could have been, but never was.

The island became a place of longing, of missed opportunities and lost hope, a place where true happiness and joy were nothing but a fading memory because of the growing crime that was ignored by all but the ones involved.

Brinsfield as well, was known but never traveled to, and vice versa. Jomsgrills was seen as a failed country to the world, a place you'd be wasting your time visiting.

Dayton was viewed with disdain and contempt by those who were aware of his past, his name synonymous with cowardice.

As Dayton's isolationist policies further separated the island of Jomsgrills from the rest of the world, many of the newer recruits in the military were left ignorant of the world outside their shores. They were unfamiliar with basic military equipment, such as guns, and had no knowledge of the War of 1045 that had ravaged their closed off world before their birth.

One such recruit, Klover, was also unaware of the world beyond Jomsgrills, and its past. His mother's condition had prevented him from gaining any knowledge of the outside world.

Despite Dayton's fortunate alliance with a loyal soldier like Richard, his actions ultimately led to his downfall. The ignorance and lack of knowledge about the world among the military personnel, coupled with Dayton's poor leadership, sealed his fate as a king.

Keijeen was captured by the Brinsfields Royal Vessel and held prisoner for close to a week.

During this time, he was subjected to inhumane treatment and torture by his captors. He was spat upon, laughed at, and disrespected by nearly all the men on the vessel.
