What Just Happened- Merdisson

Addie Comes to Settle

         Meredith and Derek start walking to the front of Settle Grace Hospital to go back to Mer's but, someone walks in and comes over to Derek and Meredith. "Hi, I'm Addison Montgomery-Shepard." Addison states. "Shepard?" Meredith starts to question. "And you must be the woman screwing my husband," Addison said to Meredith. Derek is standing there while Meredith is trying to figure out what happened. Meredith and Derek leave to go to Mer's.

-A Few Days Later-

      Meredith and Derek get ready to head to the hospital, Derek hands Meredith a cup of coffee before heading out the door. They get to the hospital and end up running into Addie, they all start making small talk about how the day is going to go for them. After they make small talk Mer finds out she is on Addie's service for the day, Mer goes to do rounds with Addie. A little later in the day Mer runs into Cristina they start talking drama and tell each other about their days. Well in the middle of their talking, Addie comes up to Mer and asks "Dr. Grey could I speak to you alone?". Meredith looks at Cristina and back to Addie but ends up staring for a while. "um Dr. Grey you are staring at me." Addie said to Meredith. Meredith stops staring and shakes her head which is full of thoughts that she doesn't understand. Cristina just looks at Mer with a weird and confused look on her face, while Mer just gets up and walks with Addie.

        Mer is walking behind Addie she started blushing while looking at the way Addie walked. The only thing that is going through her mind is "why am I blushing, I hate her." Addie looks back at Meredith and asks "Hey, you okay?" Mer is just in her little bubble full of thoughts until she starts to hear Addie speaking to her. Mer looked at Addie and said, "oh um yea I'm okay just having thoughts." Addie looked at Mer with slight confusion and just told Mer "come in here." Mer said, "oh uh okay." They both went into the empty exam room.

      A few minutes go by and they just kept looking at each other, Addie starts talking "So Mer I wanted to talk to you about something." Mer looks at Addie with tears in her eyes, Addie notices this and asks Mer "Hey, come here." Mer walks over to Addie and starts crying into her shoulder which causes snot and tears on Addie's scrub top. They end up sitting on the floor so they are more comfortable than standing. Mer looks at Addie "Addie I don't know why or how but for the past few days I have been feeling something that I never felt with anyone." She sniffles. Addie just looks at Mer and kisses her forehead and she lets Meredith calm down.  After a few Addie looks down at Mer and notices that she ended up falling asleep so Addie tries to wake up Mer but everything she tries doesn't work. So she picks her up slowly and opens the door quietly to bring Mer to an on-call room so Mer can get some rest in a bed. Once Addie has put Mer down she leaves the room quietly and when she turns around from closing the door she notices Derek and Cristina looking at her with a weird and confused looks on their faces.

        Derek goes up to Addie and asks "Hey, you came out of the one-call room quietly like you were hiding something." Addie doesn't say anything so Cristina said the same thing as Derek. Addie then starts talking to them "Earlier when I asked Mer to talk to me in private she kept staring at me, but got up and followed me. She wasn't paying attention she was thinking about something." Derek and Cristina were looking at Addie, but Addie continued "Well when went into an empty exam room and all of a sudden she started crying and confessed that she having feelings for me but didn't understand them. I held her to try and let her calm down but she ended up falling asleep in my lap so I carried her to the on-call room so she can get rest in a bed." Derek was in complete shock as well as Cristina. They both just looked at Addie and in the back saw Mer coming out of the on-call room where Addie put her. Cristina walks over to Mer and just hugs her, Mer looks confused while all of a sudden Derek comes over and slaps Mer and starts saying "Mer?" Mer looks at him "What?" Mer questions Derek. "All this time did you actually like me?" Derek asks Mer, she just looks at him confused and states that "Yes I did like you but for some reason when Addison got here, yes I hated her at first but something in me couldn't hate her I felt something that I never felt before since shes the first girl I ever liked." Derek's heart shattered "Mer how could you, she's my ex-wife?!" he started yelling at Mer. Addie comes over to Mer, Addie and Cristina just stand there holding Mer until Mer starts saying something to Derek "Derek just listen I did truly love you, I wanted to be with you but the more I hated Addie I noticed that it was more of jealousy

       Addie, Mer, and Cristina just walk away from Derek to go sit down somewhere so they all could talk and just get their minds off what just happened back there with Derek.
