What Just Happened- Merdisson

Merediths Depression

       It's been 2 weeks since Meredith and Addison talked. Meredith's depression has been getting the best of her, she and Addison haven't talked a lot since. Meredith felt the bad cause of her depression and she wanted to talk to Addison but she was scared.

At the hospital

Addison noticed Meredith at the nurse's station checking patients' charts.
(A) "Meredith?"
Meredith turns around seeing Addie.
(M) "Yea? Meredith just stands there seeing the worried look on Addison's face
(A) "You haven't talked to me a lot since that night and I'm getting worried. I just hope you're okay."
(M) "I'm sorry Addie, there's just been a lot going on. I haven't been in the best state of mind recently."
(A) "Mer you know you can talk to me, I'm not going to leave."
(M) "I know you're not going to leave, it's just I've been through a lot and I'm just scared that your gonna look at me differently."
(A) "Hey, I'm not gonna look at you differently. I'm here for you no matter what. Come on."
(M) "Where are we going?"
(A) "To an on-call room so that we can talk. You can vent to me all you need I'm here to listen."
(M) "Okay, thank you, Addie."
(A) "Anything for you Mer."
Addison and Meredith start heading to the closet on-call room to talk.
(M) "Can you hold me while we talk?"
(A) "Of course Mer. Anything for you, I love you more than my life."
Meredith gets on Addison's lap. Addison just holds her while she is talking.
(M) "I love you, I do love you. It's just I have really bad depression because of what I have been through with my parents. So it's hard for me to talk to people about what I feel."
(A) "I know how you feel Mer. Everyone suffers from something but just remember I'm never gonna leave."
(M) "Thank you Addie for being here for me. I don't know what I would do without you. I love you."
(A) "I love you too."
They just lay there, Meredith's head on Addison's chest just listening to her heartbeat. Addison kisses Meredith on the forehead. They end up falling asleep in each other's arms since neither of them had gotten much sleep.
      
     A few hours later

    Addison starts to wake up from the sound of her pager going off. When she tries to get up to check it she realizes Meredith is still sound asleep laying on her chest. When Addison slowly moves Meredith off of her, Meredith wakes up from Addison moving around.
(M) "Where are you going?"
(A) "My pager went off. I need to go I'm sorry love."
Meredith just sighed
(A) "I'm sorry. We can cuddle and watch movies when we get home. Okay?"
(M) "Okay."
Meredith said in a sleepy voice. Addison just giggled at the way she could tell that her girlfriend was still sleepy. Before Addison leaves she leans over to kiss Meredith before heading out.

     It's now almost time for Meredith and Addison to get off their shifts. They haven't seen each other since they woke up from their nap. Meredith had finally finished her shift so she went to the intern locker room to grab her things and get changed. While she was grabbing her things, she noticed that Cristina is trying to get her attention but doesn't say anything.
(M) "What is it?"
Cristina just goes back to look in her locker. So Meredith goes back to what she was doing.
(C) "Meredith I need to tell you something."
Meredith looks at her
(M) "What is it, Cristina? You can tell me."
(C) "Actually never mind."
(M) "Cristina, what is it? You can't say, you have to tell me something but just don't tell me."
(C) "It's nothing forget about it."
Meredith just sighed while she continued and Cristina just closed her locker and left. Cristina wants to tell Meredith about her and Burke getting married but she doesn't know how to say it.

A few hours go by, Addison and Meredith were at home cuddled up while they slept when Meredith suddenly wakes up out of a dead sleep. Meredith tried to sit up but Addison was still laying on her and she didn't want to move her. Meredith slowly started to sit up to grab the water that was on her nightstand when she did, Addison started to wake up.
(A) "Mer? Are you okay?"
(M) "Hey, yea I'm okay I just randomly woke up. I'm just getting some water."
(A) "Okay, I'm here if you need me."
(M) "I know you are, it's just the past few weeks have been hard for me. My depression has gotten worse."
(A) "Mer, I will always be here for you no matter what. Everyone suffers from something like you suffer from depression and no one knows this but when I was younger I suffered from an Eating Disorder. So I know how it feels to not talk about it."
(M) "Really? Thank you for telling me that, it's really sweet how you feel safe enough with me to tell me something that no one else knows."
(A) "Of course, I feel safe with you Meredith, I love you more than words can express. I don't want you to go through something like this with anyone else but me considering I know how exactly you feel."
(M) "I love you so much, Addie," Meredith said looking Addison in the eyes
(A) "I love you too Mer."
    They end up falling asleep in each other's arms and just sleep so peacefully.

-2 months go by-
  Addison and Meredith have been dating for almost 4 months now and they are falling for each other more and more with each day they spend together. Cristina finally told Meredith about her and Bruke getting engaged.

Meredith and Cristina are in the locker rooms with Izzy and Alex. They are all talking about the latest drama around the hospital. When Meredith randomly gets paged by Addison to meet her in an on-call room.
(M) "Hey, I gotta go, I'll talk to y'all later at lunch or something," she said while running off to the on-call room to find Addison. Izzy and Cristina just look confused as to why their best friend just ran out so randomly. Of course, Alex wasn't paying attention he was too busy looking at Izzy.

    Addison is lying on the bed caught up in her thoughts that she doesn't hear or even notice that Mer just entered the room. Meredith just looks at Addie concerned. She doesn't know why Addison hasn't looked up at her. 

In Addison's thoughts...

 Meredith is so beautiful and I just hate that I just don't love her, I am IN LOVE  with her she is my everything. Meredith Ellis Grey is the only person that I am supposed to be with, when I first met her she was screwing my husband and I hated her because of it but Meredith didn't know he was married. He never told her that he was still married. After weeks of hating Meredith Grey THE Meredith Grey, deep down I knew it wasn't just hate but jealousy at first I didn't know why I was jealous of Meredith, Derek didn't love me anymore. Then it hit me a few days afterward when Meredith started blushing when I was around and when she kept staring at me randomly that I wasn't jealous of Meredith I was jealous of Derek. Derek had Meredith all to him and I hated that, I wanted Meredith to be with me and only me but I would never say anything about it. 

 Meredith started trying to talk to Addison...

(M) "Addie? Hey, are you okay? I have been standing here for a while."

Addie still didn't hear Mer but when Meredith came over and waved her hand in front of Addison's face. Addison noticed that she was being talked to by Meredith. 

(A) "Huh?" Addison said looking lost from the amount of time she was staring off into space thinking about Meredith.

(M) "Are you okay?" Mer asks Addie when she starts to sit down next to Addie.

(A) "Uh um yea I'm okay. I must've zoned out and didn't notice. I'm sorry Mer." Addison said now looking at Meredith with tears starting to run down her cheeks.

(M) "Hey, hey it's okay I'm here now. Calm down it's okay. Come here." Mer said to Addison patting her leg for Addison to get in her lap. 

Addie climbs in Mer's lap and they just stay like that for a while to the point they ended up falling asleep like that. 

    Hey, I am so sorry for keeping yall waiting. I just have been hella busy with school and I'm going on vacation in a few days so the past month has been crazy. I'm trying to update yall but the updates may be late. I also have a bad memory so I just forget this story is still in progress lol. This is probably one the longest chapters I have written so far and maybe from now on I'll write them longer but let me know what you think and give me anything you would like to see in the next chapter(s).
