What Just Happened- Merdisson

Back at Home

Addison and Meredith have been home for a week. They still had a few days until they had to go back to work. So they decided to relax and get used to the time change. They still get a little jet lag cause of the time changes.

(M) "Good morning my beautiful wife," Meredith said facing her wife with a kiss and smile.
(A) "Good morning my love." Addison said replacing the kiss.
(M) "Remember Amelia is coming over with Maggie, and Lexi. They wanted to come to hang out since we have been gone for 2 almost 3 weeks."
(A) "That's right, what time should they arrive? I want to shower with my wife." Addison said with a smirk.
(M) "Oh, I bet you do. Amelia said they were coming between 12 and 2 since they were all at work." Meredith said also smirking
(A) "Okay that gives us enough time to shower and get dressed. Good thing it's only 10:20 am." Addison said jumping off the bed into the bathroom and getting undressed.
-Meredith smirked looking at her beyond gorgeous wife. They got into the shower they took turns washing each other's hair. Well in between of other things. When they got out they picked out outfits and cleaned up the house. It was now almost 12 when they finally finished getting ready. They were in the kitchen finishing up just little things that needed to be put away or cleaned. They heard a knock on the front door.
(A) "Mer that's probably them I'll go open the door and let them in." Addison said kissing Meredith on the head before going to open the door.
(AS) "Hey Addie I missed you! Welcome home." Amelia said hugging her sister even if they weren't blood-related Amelia always thought of Addison as her sister.
(A) "Amelia I missed you too! Come in." Addison said letting them in the house.
(M) "Hey! I missed you all." Meredith said as Amalia Maggie and Lexie walked into the kitchen.
(MP) "Hey, Mer how was Paris?" Maggie said smiling softly.
(M) "It was so beautiful. Addie took me out to eat so much that we spent a lot of time shopping and going places. We were hardly ever in the AirBnb. Meredith said with a giggle.
They all laughed and talked for hours. They spent the day together talking about the trip and things that Meredith and Addison missed when they were gone.
(AS) "Well it's getting kinda late and since we all have work tomorrow we need sleep," Amelia said walking to the front door. 
(M) "Yea it's almost midnight we all need sleep," Meredith said while laughing. She and Addison got up and walked Amelia Maggie and Lexie to the door.
Everyone said goodbye and goodnight. Addison and Meredith went upstairs to change and get some rest before they woke up at 6 am for work. Even tho they didn't have to go in until 8 they wanted time to get ready and eat breakfast.
-They fell asleep pretty quickly. Meredith was laying on Addison's chest listening to her heartbeat while she fell asleep... 6 am came quicker than they expected so they both groaned at the alarm but they both got up well Addison did Meredith fought to get up.-
(A) "Come on Mer we got to get up. I know it's early but we need to get showers and eat breakfast. We won't eat for a while. We are most likely to be at the hospital all day." Addison said trying to wake Meredith up.
-Meredith groaned-
(M) Ugh. I don't wanna get up yet." Meredith said hiding underneath the blanket but it didn't work. Addison took the mantle and tugged it off Meredith.
(A) "I know you don't want to but we have to." Addison said calmly
(M) "Ugh fine i'm getting up." Meredith groaned once again.
-Meredith finally got out of bed. They took a shower together so it's faster. They took turns washing each other's hair. When they got out Addison blown dried Meredith's hair and did a braid so it's out of her face. Meredith did the same with Addison but she left Addison's hair down since she loved the way it looked with her hair down.-
(A) "Mer come on. We gonna be late." Addison yelled up the stairs.
(M) "Coming," Meredith said while coming down the stairs.

-They left the house and went to the hospital. It was their first time back at work in almost 3 weeks. They missed all the craziness that happened during the day at the hospital. They also missed surgery and the feeling of blood on their hands. They shortly arrived at the hospital and when they walked inside they were greeted by friends who have become more of a family than anything else.

(Everyone at once) "Welcome back!' Everyone in the hospital said as Meredith and Addison walked into the hospital.

(A) "Wow you guys this is so sweet of everyone. We were only gone 2 weeks but what can I say I have missed everyone while on our honeymoon." Addison said smiling and Meredith joined in saying how wonderful everything looks and how special it made her feel.

Addison and Meredith went around and hugged everyone, they missed everyone so much but they did enjoy their time off with just them. Everyone talked about everything that has happened when they were gone. They went along with their days, Meredith was a second-year intern so she was still trying to find the right specialty she didn't know if she wanted to do General like her mother or Neuro. She still had time to make her decision on what specialty she wanted. Meredith and Addison both had surgery back to back so they hardly saw each other during the day. It was now the end of the day and Addison was just getting out of surgery, Meredith was still in surgery so Addison went to the gallery to watch her wife finish her surgery.

An hour has passed and Meredith is finally finished with her surgery with Bailey. It was a hard surgery because the girl kept coding and bleeding out. Addison was waiting for Meredith outside the OR.

(A) "Hey my lover." Addison said when Meredith walked out of the scrub room.

(M) "Hey, love. How was your day I missed you today." Meredith said smiling

(A) "You okay? I saw you and Bailey had a rough surgery. I missed you too wife." Addison said as she looked at Meredith with a slightly worried look.

(M) "I'll be okay. It happens to everyone, there will be easy surgeries and there will be long and hard ones."  Meredith said with a smile 

(A) "That's true you never know what's going to happen until you get in the OR." Addison said grabbing her wife's hand and walking to the front.

Addison and Meredith were now walking to their car so they can go home. When they got in and started driving off Addison noticed Meredith staring out the window. She knew that when her wife did this she was thinking about something or someone. Addison just kept driving home if Meredith wanted to talk she would when they got home. 

-They finally reached home about 15 minutes later. They got inside and Meredith wanted to talk to Addison about what she was thinking but wasn't sure how her wife would react.-

(M) "Addie? I have been thinking about something I want to talk to you about it, It's just I'm scared of how you will react to it." Meredith said messing with her hands because her nerves were through the roof she was scared. 

(A) "Mer. Whatever it is you are scared to talk to me about. I'm right here I'm not going anywhere, why would I, I did marry you after all. Whatever it is we will get through it together. I love you Mer with my whole heart you stole it from the moment I first met you in the hallway." Addison said facing Meredith who is now crying from overthinking everything possible.

(M) "I love you too Addie. The thing I have been thinking about a lot the past few days was..."
