Plumstar woke up and jumped out his nest. The cold wind blew as the newly grown grass swayed side to side.
Plumstar entered the elders den and softly nudged Breezesong. The retired cat woke up and looked up at him. "Oh, hi Plumstar! Is anything wrong..?" Breezesong whispered.
Plumstar sighed. "I don't deserve to be leader yet." Plumstar looked down and plopped down onto the grass. "You retired for me.. right?" Plumstar asked.
Breezesong shook her head. "No, no! I'm getting old and.. couldn't do my leader duties."
Plumstar's body turned to the sky as he started to think. "Oh.. I see." Plumstar muttered as he lifted himself up. "I'll be going now."
Plumstar's head filled with thoughts. Just two reasons? I.. I don't understand. I'm not a good leader without my sister here..
Plumstar started to tear up until he rethought. He blinked away his tears.

A horrified light blue she-cat paused in front of the dead cat and started to back away.
