This world used to be beautiful, but now nothing makes any sense. Even my senses are illogical. If I can't even see you with my eyes, what good are they? What good are my ears if I can't even hear you when you speak? My nose serves no purpose if I cannot even detect your aroma. What's the point of my mouth when I can't even sing for you, lull you to sleep, or even talk to you? When I can't even feel your touch, what good is my sense of touch? My arms serve no purpose if I can't even embrace you. What's the point of all these cones that I have when the only color I can see without you is gray? If there's a God then let me have a second chance"

I can feel how worn and heavy my eyes are while my heartbeat is slowing its pace. As my eyes began to close, I muttered, "Oh, how I long for a world that makes sense once more." As my consciousness started to vanish.

~Ringgg!Ringgg!!~

I was awakened by what seemed to be the sound of the alarm clock ringing.

~Ringgg!Ringgg!!~

Suddenly, my eyes were snapped open as I can feel my heartbeat beating frantically and my cold sweat dripping.

~Ringgg!Ringgg!!~

"This alarm clock sure is noisy." I exclaimed as I turned it off

I turned myself around and saw that something was wrong with my room. It seems like the furniture was rearranged.

I quickly stood up and looked around me. Everything seems to have changed. I circled the space and passed by the mirror. When I swiftly turned around to see, I discovered an oddity...

"Is this a dream? This can't be true. I still appear the way I did in high school."

I still can't figure out what's happening to me. First I woke up suddenly to see my room has changed, and then this? What is happening?

I heard a sound downstairs, which made my pulse beat rapidly.

I slowly drew near the door and began paying close attention. Steps become softer, and a soft thud resembling a door closing is audible. As though someone were inside.

I moved slowly till I could clearly see her silhouette.

And that's when a realization hit me.

"I can finally see her once again," I murmured to myself.

I quickly ran towards her and hugged her from behind, crying.

I said, "Mom," as tears streamed down my face.

"I'm sorry, Mom, but I wasn't able to be as resilient as you had hoped."

"What's wrong? Did you have a nightmare? "

"No, but I'm currently experiencing the best dream right now."

"I'm quite confused right now, but let's talk about it later. You have to eat or you'll be late for school."

"School? How far does this dream go on?" I said in a low voice.

I sat down at the dining room table right away. I can't seem to catch up with the events. I kept looking at my mom even when I'm eating.

"Is there something on my face?" My mom asked

"No, I just missed looking at you."

"Well then, you'd best go quickly or you'll be late."

I immediately finished what I was doing and went to school.

I was mesmerized by the amount of nostalgia while walking on the school campus.

"This cannot possibly be a dream", I say.

"Everything is even back to what it was back then; even my favorite spot under the tree is here," I said, feeling as though it were all too real.

"Bestfriend!!" shouted by someone from a distance.

When I turned myself to look at who shouted, I've found that everything seems to have disappeared from existence.

Time slowed down.

I thought I would never be able to experience her sweet voice calling me again, yet all I can hear is that.

Everything is blurry except for her. I can clearly see her and I can't help but be in awe of her.

The way she smiles is the most captivating thing I've ever seen, gentle and beautiful, that's the way she is.

"Even in my dreams, your very existence outshines everything in this universe." I muttered to myself.

"How many years has it been since I saw your face? I've found you once again."

Before I even knew it my tears were already falling, my feet are already making its move and it's as if I have no control of my body and just suddenly hugged her.

"You don't know how long I have waited for you," I said whilst crying.
