We Found Help

We helped as many people in the city as we could.Most of our jobs were helping old women get their cats out of trees or getting a lady's purse back from a guy who had stolen it.We did those kinds of jobs for months.

Eventually,the boy decided to tell me his name.His name was Cody.He didn't want to tell me because it didn't sound like the name of a brave person.He decided that he wanted to be called Lightning for now.I agreed.I changed my name too.I was no longer known as Iris.I was Sustaniva..I remembered how to say hallucination in spanish because Jinx told me that's what it was back in the H.I.V.E.

Lightning and I had a regular routine until we saw something happening at the electronic store when we were in the city.People were running out screaming.

"Lightning.Let's go!"I commanded.We ran inside and were shocked by what we saw.

A flat screen tv's wires were functioning as legs and hands.It had a few terrified people backed into a corner.That was the least of our worries.Every electronic in the store was functioning that way.

Lightning shot a wave of electricity at the tv,but it didn't get hurt.It just turned toward us and charged.I put a brick building around us.Lightning couldn't see it though.The tv stopped in front of the wall and started hitting it with its cords.

"Why's that tv hitting the air?"Lightning looked terrified.

"I made a wall,"I gritted my teeth."I don't know how long I can keep it up."I held the wall up for nearly 5 minutes before the tv blew it apart.I was sure that we were done for.

The tv got closer and closer.This was it.I closed my eyes.I expected to hear the crunch of my bones as it hit me,but I heard and felt nothing.When I opened my eyes,I was shocked.A guy who looked about my age stood on top of the tv,which was lying on the ground.

He was really muscular and tall.He had something really different about him.He didn't look all human.He had a red eye and robot parts.

"Need a hand?"He smiled.

"Thanks.Looks like we've got more company though."I pointed to the dozens of electronics that were coming at us.

"A little help guys?Now would be great!"The robot person yelled.A girl in a purple cloak came out of nowhere and blasted half of the electronics with some kind of black energy that shot from her hands.

Then,a green t-Rex came out of nowhere and took out the other half.Just when I thought there was enough confusion,a tan girl with long red hair came into the room with a black haired boy who was wearing a yellow,green,and red outfit an a mask.They were both dragging in a bigger man who looked angry.

"We've got Control Freak now."The black haired boy said.

"Good.Hey,we should handle this first."The robot person turned to Lightning and I.

"Okay,"The black haired boy looked at us."Who are you and why are you here?"

"I am Sustaniva."I said proudly."This is Lightning."I pointed to him."We came here when we saw people running and screaming.We want to help."

"I see."The black haired boy no longer looked us up an down."We are the Teen Titans.You can say that we're the heroes of this city.We should introduce ourselves.I'm Robin."

The half robot boy spoke next."I'm Cyborg.Otherwise known as the guy who save you from the possessed tv."He smiled.

"I am Starfire,"the red head spoke."I am very happy to meet both of you!"She grinned.

"I'm Raven."The girl in the purple cloak said.

The T-Rex shrank down to a boy who was my age.He had green skin and pointy ears."Last but not least,"He cleared his throat."I'm Beast Boy and pretty much the coolest Titan.The others glared at him.

"So,where are you two going to go now?"Starfire asked.

"Wherever we can sleep,I guess."Lightning sounded shy.

"Oh.Come with us.Just for awhile.Maybe for tonight?"Robin asked.

"Oh,we couldn't just-"

"Its the least you could let us do.I mean,I did save you and all.You kinda have to do what I want."Cyborg smiled.

"Okay.But just for tonight."I agreed.
