Begin Training

They led me back to some kind of hidden location...They had me blindfolded for some of the way there.When they took the blindfold off,I saw a huge building that looked like a bee hive.I guess the name really meant more than I thought...The theme was bees,obviously...Jinx drug me inside and I couldn't believe how big it was.All the walls had honeycomb patterns on them.Many people,who obviously had powers,were walking around in their uniforms.

"Come on!We'll take you to the headmistress!"Jinx smiled at me and drug me away.She took me through many halls until we came to a huge door marked 'Headmistress'.I was a little scared...Jinx opened the door without hesitation.A tall,older woman with her gray hair pulled back in a tight bun was behind a large,honeycomb desk.She was writing on some type of paperwork.

"Headmistress,we brought you someone.Possibly a new student!"Gizmo stepped forward,practically taking credit for bringing me here.She looked up and smiled.

"Ah!Good!Who do we have here?"She looked me up and down,making me feel small.

"I-I'm Isis,Ma'am."I felt so little.

"Hmmm,Isis.That's a very pretty name,dear.Do you have any special abilities?"

"Umm,yeah.But I'm still learning how to control it...I don't mean to use it when I do."She looked skeptical as I said this.She probably didn't believe me.

"Well,I have to see your power before I can accept you..."

"Wait!We can just take her to the training room!Maybe that'll work!"Jinx was practically jumping up and down as she said this.

"Very well.Let's go."She lead Gizmo,Jinx,Mammoth,and I to what they called the training room.It looked like a padded cell that was used for crazy people.They sent me in alone.I stood there watching them all stare at me in suspence.Out of nowhere,a robot,about the size of me,came out of the wall and started to charge for me.I felt something happen inside of me.I saw a pile of shattered glass fall on top of the robot.After the robot fell to the ground,the door opened and I walked out of the room.

"That was incredible!You just stared at that robot and it collapsed to the ground!"Jinx hugged me.Did no one else see the glass but me?Maybe it's just an illusion.But I did just take down a robot...

"Well done,dear.You pass.Welcome to the H.I.V.E. academy,Isis.We're glad to have you.You will share a room with Jinx.Your training starts tomorrow."The Headmistress patted me on the head.Jinx came out of nowhere and squeezed me in a tight hug.she was squeeling in my ear.I guess I found my new home.I'm so happy that its a place that I belong.With other superhumans like me.Where having super abilities is a good thing.

"Come on,Isis!Let's go to our room!"Jinx dragged me away by the arm down several halls until we entered a honycomb room.Once inside,I was overwhelmed by all the purple.The carpet,beds,everything...purple!It's a good thing that I don't mind it...I feel like I have a family now.

"You'll begin your training tomorrow.For the next 6 years,you'll train your powers.After that time is up,you graduate.By then,you'll be a master at every power you have."She looked at the empty bunk."I'll get you some sheets,a blanket,and a pillow."When she did that,we went to bed.It was going to be a long 6 years of training before I can get better at my powers.But until then,I'll give it my all and become better.
