I just laid my head on the window of our car.
My mom driving and my little sister Sammy, sleeping.
we finally arrived into our house, it wasn't the best but it was better than nothing.

"We're here, wake up your sister alright? I'll move some boxes in." My mom said.
I nodded as I reached for the back and shook my sister awake.
She groaned and slowly opened her eyes.

I got out of the car and opened her door, I just watched as she got out.
i turned around cause I heard some yelling from two boys.

"OH SHUT THE FUCK UP!" one of them yelled, he had kinda long curly blonde hair.
you could tell he was trouble.
I saw him grab the other boys shirt and punch him onto the ground.

"Y/n take your sister in, these boys are trouble." She said with a serious tone.
I nodded and walked to the front door, as I did.
I made eye contact with the one punching the other boy.
I got nervous and broke contact.

Gosh, even if my sister was 15, my mom still babied her.
It really bothered me.

Me and her sat down on the floor. It was like 30 minutes before Sammy started a conversation.
"Hey sis." She said to me
"Yeah what's up?" I looked at her
"I saw a little store around the corner, I know mom just told us to get inside but
you have money and we can walk so why not ask her?" She said excitedly.
"Okay, I think maybe we can." I smiled.

We both went outside and asked our mom.
"no, are you crazy? you just saw two boys get into a fight, you don't know what will happen." She said.
"Please mom! I promise we'll be safe!" We both begged.
She finally agreed and we started walking.

we walked inside and went straight to the coolers.
it was a hot day, we needed a drink.
the coolers just happened to be near a pinball machine where I saw the same boy who punched the other one.

I turned my head to look and straight up made eye contact with him.
his eyes widened when he looked back at the machine.
"Fuck!" he said loudly.
"Dude, you almost had it, what happened?" His friend that was next to him said.
"Shut the fuck up." He said with an angry tone, he looked towards me and said "nothing happened."

I just looked at the floor as I walked away, I didn't pay attention to where I was looking.
i bumped into a young girl, she looked 14 at max.
"oh uh I'm sorry! I should've looked where I was going!" I said.
"you're fine! It's okay!" She smiled at me
I just smiled back at her until a boy approached her.

"Gwen what'd I say about not telling me where you're going? Geez!" he said
"Calm down finney! I'm fine and alive, that's all that matters but I just met this
really pretty girl!" She exclaimed.

"Uh hello! I'm y/n and this is my little sister Sammy." I introduced us both.
"Finney and this is Gwen, are you new? we've never seen you two here." The boy said.
"Yes we're new here! I was hoping to meet new people." I smiled at them.

"Ah nice! we can introduce you to more people but we gotta go! bye y/n
it was nice meeting you!" Gwen said as she walked away with Finney.
They really seemed nice, it's good to see people like that.

Me and Sammy went up to the counter, paid for our stuff and left.
"hey those people we met, they were nice." Sammy said
"Yeah i agree." I smiled just thinking about it

I looked on the road to see a boy biking.
he had very pretty black hair.
he started biking closer to us, it kinda scared me.
he stopped when he got close enough to talk to us.

"Hey! I've never seen you around here, you new?" he said with a smile
"Yeah, we're new." I said
he seemed nice, I think I could trust him.
Me and Sammy stopped walking and he stopped biking.

"Nice! I'm Bruce." He said holding his hand out
"uh I'm y/n and this is Sammy." I said as I shook his hand
Sammy also shook his hand, she seemed a little more shy than usual.

they both wouldn't stop staring and smiling at each other, what the heck?
"Uh so Bruce! Me and Sammy need to get going. Bye!" I said as we walked away
"Goodbye!" he yelled.

"I saw you two." I said while smiling at her.
"What are you talking about?" She yelled back.
"You don't think I saw how shy you were?" I laughed.
"Shut up!" She shoved her hand in my face.

today was a good day. :)
