Chapter Twenty Three
We went to the bedroom but we were both too distracted with our thoughts to follow through with anything physical, so we just lied in bed and listened to the radio for a few hours then we heard it, exactly what we were waiting for.
"A special report, seven high school buses reported to have randomly begun exploding this afternoon shortly after leaving the high school, police are scrambling to figure out what exactly happened. They are asking parents to please help by staying home until they can process the scene, no further news at this time but we will keep you updated for those of you out there listening, please say a prayer for all the students and families that are at home distraught waiting for news."
"Well babe that’s my cue, I have to leave now if everything is going to fall into place the way I need it to."
I grabbed my bag and packed up my supplies, tucking my .45 and a 9mm in the back of my jeans with extra clips for both in my sweater and boxes of shells in my bag with a combat knife. I grabbed two gallons of Drano and some other things, I walked out the cabin door fired up the snow mobile and headed down the mountain for town.
I pulled the snow mobile into the tree line about two miles just outside of town and started walking when a Chevrolet truck began creeping up on me, heading towards town, I stuck my thumb out and the man pulled over.
"Hey kid it's pretty cold out, do you need a lift into town?"
"Yeah, that would be great, thanks."
I jumped into the truck with my bag in my lap, reaching in palming the knife. I slipped it out and shoved it right through the man’s ear canal, out the other side before he could shift the truck from park. I jumped out the truck and pulled him out the passenger side dragging him into the trees, then running back to the truck jumping in and continuing to town pulling the portable cb radio from my bag. I listened to the police planning to reconvene at the station to compile information from crime scene investigators, as it came in this was their best plan and it played out just as I had hoped it would, so I headed for the station driving slow to let all the squad cars get back.
when I arrived at the station I parked a block down the street and watched as all the officers went in once the coast was clear, I continued down the street till I was about five hundred feet from the front door of the station putting the truck in park. I remembered reading how Drano aluminum foil and water made a combustible chemical reaction in something as simple as a small plastic soda bottle, in small quantity could blow of your entire hand if lightly shaken. So I was going to myth buster it on a much larger scale, crossing my fingers, my calculations and research would be correct. I took the cap off the gas tank and poured in two gallons of Liquid Plumber then tore up a role of aluminum foil then poured in a gallon of water ran off the side the road found a heavy rock lodging it onto the gas pedal, I fired up the truck listening to the motor scream. I shifted it into gear and let the truck race towards the front door of the police station, I ran behind a car and watched as the truck crashed through the doors and made it all the way into the building. I crossed my fingers and prayed between the fuel pump and the crash that would be enough motion to cause the chemical to begin reaction within the fuel tank, I began counting slowly as I held my breath. I made it to fifteen seconds when I saw six police officers squeeze through the rubble of the crash to see if anyone was around to be seen still counting. I began swearing under my breath as it was clear, I was wrong but I spoke too soon, at the count of twenty seven there was an explosion of such large proportion. Debris from the station rained down around the car I had been hiding behind, I ducked under it for safety as I could see the officers that had come out front running around on fire from the chemicals that covered them in the explosion. They hit the ground and flopped around screaming as they burned to death, everyone in town slowly came running to see what had happened.
